I have a black belt in Kajukenbo which is a form of street fighting. Very viscous (SP?) o_o.
Ka - Karate
Ju - Jujitsu
Ken - Kendo (yes, I really used swords XD!)
Bo - Kick boxing
However, I had to quit since my school shut down. So I just go into a new type called small circle jujitsu. On top of that, I'm starting escreama (Serata style) classes, which is a form of Korean/Filipino/Japanese stick fighting. Yup, I'm really excited ^^!

Closest thing I have had to Martial arts is probably boxing, I did Aikido for a couple of months, that's a pretty useless art to study unless you go on for years with it.

I do Ishinryu and im almost a black belt
Af's Paranormalist. Got a Question about the paranormal? PM i'll help.
I have experience in jiujitsu from mixed martial arts club I am in (although that is on hiatus cause of my knee injury) but the majority of my martial arts training comes from Muay thai kickboxing ... hence my username and everything else.
Soon as I raise enough money, I'm going to try and take one. I'm not sure though, for I have little knowledge of what I can do.
Well it depends on your build, if you are a small skinny man you might want to attempt a martial arts that uses the opponents strength against them, like Aikido, ninjitsu etc.
But at the same time if you want something more body strenuous you might want to go for karate, kick boxing etc.

I am Skmall and skinny...Hmm hopefully they'll have classes like that around here. If not...I'll just break down and cry.
Ummm..I do boxing...
Strength that you gave me is not enough to change my mind this time..my dreams are full of battlefields and a ghosts of those who died.
NEW to country!Learning English,I KNOW my spelling sucks!
I'm also looking for a new art to study but I'm having trouble deciding. I want to do something that focuses on the art more than competing. Any Suggestions?
I did a form of Tae Kwon-Do for only two or three years, but I can still kick my friend's butt at sparring. And he's a 2nd-degree black belt.
I am JuicedUp, aka Wark_Ento...

"They say that guns don't kill people, people kill people. Well, I think the gun helps. If you just stood there and yelled BANG, I don't think you'd kill too many people." -- Eddie Izzard
Traditional karate. The kind that teaches you endless amounts of kata, how you "should" block with an upright fist against a certain attack, one that makes you meditate and learn the teachings of some dead guy. You know, like Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, something like that.
Useless as a pack of pixie stix in a real fight, but it's chock full of that yummy art you want.
I've been wanting to learn Zui Quan ever since I saw that Jackie Chan movie about it. Just because it would be so immensely cool to know. But it's not going to happen, mainly because I'm about as agile as a rock, and have the dexterity of a bulldozer.
I have developed my own style of martial arts. It is entirely devoted to the flawless execution of a punch straight in the face of the opponent, without them seeing it coming or knowing what hit them. I've dubbed it "the furious fist that breaks your nose and sends you flying on your butt."

Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
I have done some karate, boxing, and kick boxing
but like free style the best?

I started out doing Tae Kwon Do from 1st to 6th grade because I got bored of it. Then in Jr. High I tried wrestling but it didn't work out for me because I didn't get along with anybody at the school.
Then I learned catch wrestling from a family friend in high school.
Then when I was in Japan last year, I did Judo, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Boxing, and Kickboxing.
Now I train at an MMA gym.

I do many different kinds of martial arts, I like to learn different martial arts and put them all together.
I did Karate for two years, I stopped going because I got way to busy with school, but I think I should have stuck with it.
Out of all the things I've done Karate was one of the ones I enjoyed the most, and I'd definitly get back into Martial arts if time and money is in my favor. Its just so much fun, as well as rewarding.
A MaruDashi Creation
I was learning Brazillian Ju Jitsu... I didn't care for it too much.
It seemed almost as if it was mostly defence movements. Because the main thing that was constantly banged into my head was "90% of fights end up on the ground".
I was almost level 1 qualified. Which is the basics.

I do judo and Tae Kwon Do. I've done Judo for almost 8 years and TKD for a few months. They're totally different so its nice to have moves that aren't all the same just another name. Whats kinda cool is they're the only types of martial arts in the Olympic Games.(Or that's what I've read)
Only fools accept the obvious and go no farther.Common sense isn't so common anymore."I'll follow you everywhere you go in my oh-so-inconspicuous bright red car and convince myself you don't notice."4// Itchy. Tasty.
Martial Arts? No seriously, you'd look like a douche trying out those.
I have taken Karate several times in my life, but after a while I found that I couldn't commit to it anymore. Now I just try my best at what I know and use it accordingly. Mostly for spiritual purposes, but I can own Faro and Jack of Blades in a two on one fight.
>.>;;
And well.. I was thinking about getting into a Kendo Club or Dojo at UoM, but then I realized I wouldn't be able to motivate myself or stay committed.
As much as I love martial arts and swords, as much discipline as I have already, and as much as I know ~ I just can't bring myself to get into that anymore. At least not at the moment.
Perhaps the world was never meant to make perfect sense.
