The sky is flying like a curse
The flight attendent like a nurse
Pours water down into a cup
Smiles soft and then looks up
But all of that is something far
Distant from me like a star
In the night sky so alone
Because my dear I’m going home
Clouds beneath me, now laid low
Wishes falling from clenched teeth
As jet lag hovers like a wreath
Snoring from right next to me
Makes a soft harmonic sea
That echoes through me, to the bone
All past disheveled harmonies
Stand behind me in my past
Future coming way to fast
But for now everything hangs
Things tossed up will crash and bang
But for now things hover like a tone
Just for now I’m going home
