Ah, youtube is fine O_o; we wouldn't make it possible to embed them if we didn't let people do it.
Also, it's not our bandwidth, but theirs when you view a youtube video, and they are obviously fine with it being used that way.
And as for the user's bandwidth, for those on dialup or similar, Eris is right, the whole video doesn't load unless you hit play, and the player itself is very small
