30 grand, my mom doesn't have much of a job and we don't live w/ my dad (i live w/ my mom and grandparents)
we do get money from my dad once a month but i don't like worrying about our budget so much, i'm only 12 i shouldn't have to worry so much.

I'm in a predicament, if I get all the money I want, the value of the money will plummet and they will be worthless. So I think I'll go for an annual income the size of the US defense budget?

You do realize that Bill Gates has 40 billion dollars (and at one point he had twice that amount) but people still value a dollar? I think you could get quite enough, and even if you were to have the amount of money equal to that of what is being circulated, your money would only drop to 50% of it's value, which would be a significant ammount.

I did read the first post, and like I said, dollars are completely useless to me, if I received $675,000 I'd have to get it exchanged so I'd loose money then paying for the exchange.

Sure they are useless to you, but they aren't for most people in the forum. I just found it funny that you flat-out ignored my request.
Also, you don't need to worry about paying money for exchange, this is just to help form and idea of the ammount you are greedy for.

I would say 10 Million-One two percent compund is 200,000 a year. (Of course I'm assuming that the Gov. will keep their hands off). If the gov. wants to suck it from me in taxes, then I would just say that plus 1 Million every two years.

Hate to say it but I'm not a big spender and a Good 400 bucks a week is no harsh price (When you have 10 million that is).

There's a saying that goes something like: If you can spend money, you control it. If you can't, it controls you.

I can't think of any possible way to spend more then $500,000 per year. I don't want palaces or private jets or yachts.

I would like enough money to be able to pay for college, pay off my house, and buy a car. I want my parents to be able to retire and not worry about making ends meet.

It would be nice not to have to work at a job I hate for a meager amount of money. =\

If given millions and millions, I don't think I'd just be lazy all day. For me it would mean that I would finally be free to pursue whatever it is I want in life without being stuck in an office over 8 hours a day.

I belive money rates you on your greed... now and then when you get somthin nice is ok but being super greedy is pathitic... i make my money and use it wisely on the stuff that is needed to survive.

The challenge/purpose of this topic, is that you actually have to come up with a lump sum of money (in dollars) that would be enough to make you satisfied that you wouldn't really desire more of it. You gotta guess high enough to get the things you want, while the closer you get to infinity, the more greedy you look to society. It's a challenge, yo.

Well User_Name, since the things people want will generally change over the course of their lifetime, it is indeed difficult to say an exact amount of money one would need.

hmm let's see I'd need about 100 thou a year to get by, say I live until I'm 90.. that's another 70 years that would make it 7 million but I don't want to "just get by" so let's up it to 10 million but that's in AUD so in USD it would be around $9 million

for the most part yes..granted i do save for those emergence medical things or what not..but yes. when i work its all for the things i need to stay alive in this superfical world..i dont take any pleasure with money.

I know. This world really is too superficial. Now about a billion dollars would do. First I would make myself look PERFECT (And of course that is done with cosmetic surgery because personality does not reflect who you are in the slightest bit). Then I would have a mansion with any ridiculous/extremely expensive/extremely unneccessary/are you just a moron? Rooms that I saw on MTV (Like a room preserving the worlds most historic collection of dog hairs) Also, forget wide screen. How about a room where it is nothing but a huge tv screen covering a room made of silk. Don't know how the TV's would stay in place but I'm rich, so thats not my problem. Next I would bribe every celebrity of any considerable popularity to all worship me and give me recognition for all my achievements even completely idiotic ones, like I would have Paris Hilton call me and give me a warm congratulations on beating a level on need for speed or eating a taco and throw a huge party over it because of my pathetically and atrociously low self-esteem that sinks lower by the second but at least Jack Black said congrats on sleeping on my bed strictly designed out of rubies and sapphires that I really don't even sleep on. Also, I would have another mansion in the carribeans with no purpose that I never visit and every room does nothing but accumulate dust but everything in the house and the house in it's entirety would be made of solid gold and the extractions of the rarest animal skins in the world and wipe out an endangered species because my house that I never visit was more important.
