I think it's very good, aspecially for your first sign. The white letters aren't very clear, but 'cause of the mirror, it fits really good anyway.

That wins the "Largest-Signature-I-Have-Ever-Seen" award. It's good, but you need to downsize it a lot.

Thanks! I've been working on more, but I can't do anything really fancy 'cause we don't have very much on our version of Photoshop. *sigh*

Edit: How on Earth do you downsize it? Whenever I try to, it won't let me.

Downsizing...
Image > Resize > Image size, then Pick a size a lot more signature friendly.
For example : 350 x 110, 380 x 140 etc etc.
Signatures that big = a no no.

Some crit while I'm here?
It would look a lot better without that filter on it.
The text is very hard to read, and would go better on a smaller size,
there's also no border.
The quality of the pic is alright too.

Border :
New layer > ctrl + a > edit > stroke > 1px > choose colour > OK.
It makes a sig look 'Finished.'

That's all I have to say, really. :3

Are you just cutting from wallpapers/screenshots?
That isn't sig making, there's much more to it than that.

And I know cutting when I see it xP
In signatures, you make/manipulate the background :3
Which is why they can [sometimes] take hours to make.

My suggestion, have a look at a few tutorials, they can give you the basics
on how to really get started, there's plenty of tutorial sites to browse
through ~

cfa's right, but I'll try and put this...less bluntly xD

Check out sites on the net (Hazardous GFX, and Artistic GFX are where I'm getting most of my info from) and of course ask questions around AF. There are dozens of graphic artists to give tips here and there.

Sig making involves (to begin at least) requires more than just cropping and text. Try...filters, gradient maps, photo filters, different blending modes, and of course smaller sizes.

Half of the game is playing around and you'll probably have some rough spots like me (Ugh brushes >__> Not a word chibi).

So to improve, ya gotta experiment more. These images are fine as starting points, but why no brush over it? Maybe change some colors, smudge etc.

And try renders and stocks (Extractions..whatever), They're the basis of a lot of signatures (images and characters without a background).

Sorry to say anything you already knew o_o; I'm just out to help.

I agree with cfa. But less frankly. You do need to stay away from simply adding words to a pic. You need to extract, find or make a new background, then add words. And I suggest 350 x 125 for a sig size. It gives you plenty of space to work with, but not a wallpaper sized thing.

I'm actually female...lol.

I have learned to make a couple backgrounds and am working on extracting (having lots of trouble with that). With any luck, I'll have my first sig in...a few days. I'm bad with Photoshop!

Wow. Something alluring about it...on the right side. That double on the left side kind of ruins it for me. But the other light and the "floaty things" i like.
