All right .. I looked pretty tired in this pic (and I was) as it was the same day I did my BFT. Anyhow, this is my new frag vest .. its under the tactical vest. Basically the frag vest is well ... a vest with shoulder pads, you put it over your head like a normal armoured vest and secure it on the sides with the velcro strips. There is a place to insert a kevlar plate in the back, sides (rib location) and front vital areas.

The tactical vest - which is mostly visable on the front, has the grenade pouches, mag pouches, util pouches, bayonet fix etc.

I posted this particular pic because I love the old school warrior effect the frag vest gives with its shoulder pads but also because it looks real funny to see the front two armour pieces on with nothing else. It makes me look ... weirder. With full armour on, the elbow pads, shoulder pads elevated outwards, helmet on, etc etc, it all fills out... but right now it looks like a hockey player in only the chest girdle!
