What makes you unique??

I don't think I have anything that makes me unique. I mean, I'm the only kid in my class who is considering my future profession as a nun, but that's not so unique. And being a good singer (or so I'm told) doesn't make me too unique. But, yeah, I guess I just don't follow the same thought process as others (sometimes) x3

unique........(I'm coming up with a blank here).....I guess my photographic memory makes me sort of unique...but not really. Or, how about I gained 20 lbs in a few months... haha. Of course that's a good thing (since I'm underweight), but...It was a bit of a shock to me. (I know I'm not getting the point of this thread)

edit: oh! ok I got one...I'm pretty artistic since I can draw, play the oboe, and write pretty well... (me and every other person on AF)

things that make me unique:

1. i totally talk to myself aloud, without noticing that the people around me says i'm weird...
2. i stay at home rather than go out and shop...
3. i don't say a word to defend myself (especially when i am scolded by my parents)
4. i don't have this 'crush' things... never felt any intimate thing with another person...
5. i want to dispose my sister's suitors because of jealousy... why?.. well, it's because for the fact that they deprive me of my own sister's time and attention... (this is for the reason that she's the only one i talk to and nobody else in the family)
6. i would rather be a navy than a nurse...(my mom wants me to be a nurse, dad wants me to become a navy)
7. i would want to stay in school than go home... (family problems get to my nerves)

and a whole lot more..! i am therefore, very unique... hahaha...

Not to rain on anyone's parade but...most of the things I have seen listed are not truly "unique"; at least, not by my definition. Blasphemous Feind is right to say that his fingerprints are truly unique, in that no one in the world can have the exact same fingersprints as his. They are the one and only. There are other fingerprints, obviously - so the fact that he has fingerprints isn't unique. But the particular appearence and exact design of them...that's unique. Okay, so you're loud? I know other loud people and people who can be loud. You get jealous of crap? Well, holy cow, I do too!! D: You're kind to people? Woooow...no one has ever been kind to anyone in the entire history of mankind then, right? These things are not unique.

Who you are, as a whole, can certainly make you unique. The way you look, down to every last detail and body part (size, shape, position, etc.) can make you unique. But the individual flaws, talents, and personality traits you may have, don't. There could be something that one person can do, that no one else can (or ever will) do. I don't know. But I don't think I've seen one in this thread.


Eh, no one is going to listen to me anyway. Hmm...I can eat...so...I am unique twice-over now!! Yeah...oh well.

Though...I suppose unique can also be taken as something that is extremely rare, though not necessarily that 'one and only'. But I see unique as being something more than rare...something that is solidly the one and only of it's kind, in whatever grouping. Rare, itself, is more appropriate for something that is 'incredibly uncommon'; instead of being a synonym for 'unique'.
