Who do you like the most, DC Comics (Superman, Batman, Justice League, etc.) or Marvel (Spiderman, X-men, Dare Devil, Etc.)?
Although it is a tough decision for me, I would have to say I like DC Comics a little bit more than I do Marvel.

Oh boy.....I like them both tbh but I have to go with Marvel as my favorite.

HELLSING ORDER 3
I like batman and spider man but who should I choose ah screw it im going with dc
Holy CRAP a topic I CARE about.
This is really touchy for me, as I'm a fan of both big names, as well as Image and Darkhorse.
At heart, i'm a Marvel person. I've always love Spider-Man, The Hulk, Deadpools series, the X-Men, Spider-Woman,Ghost Rider, and She-Hulk.
However, Marvel has been sucking this past year or so. Civil War is HORRID, and Planet Hulk is the only thing Marvels been doing right. If World War Hulk bombs this summer, and I hope it doesn't, I'm all for Marvel dropkicking stan lee and starting from scratch, as Stan Lee is too busy with his Comicon's, movie merchandise, and crappy reality TV shows to care about comics anymore.
I was never much of a DC person, but I've always been a fan of Batman, Superman, The Flash (Wally West > the rest of the Flashes), and the REAL Teen Titans. On top of that, some of my favorite writers are part of DC.
So, I can't honestly choose one or the other.
My friends got me into Marvel and DC Comics.I dont know which one i like more..so i will say i like them both the same

I absolutely love DC, although since Infinite Crisis, I haven't been paying too much attention. The one-year-later time jump was hard to follow. And although Bushido is a minor character overall, I can't help but get mad that he died. And Teen Titans lost its zest since Superboy died. I can't believe Robin and Wondergirl kissed, that also makes me mad. They're throwing too much teen drama in the middle. But I try to follow Outsiders, Teen Titans, Batman family books, and Superman and Supergirl.

DC has done some cool things in the past like letting fans kill off Jason Todd. I really like Batman the best out of DC because I like dark themed stories and the fact that Batman is really human and has no super powers.
I like super heroes that use their intelligence. Mostly people like Spider-Man and Batman.
Marvel has some characters I like more, but I like some of DC's stories better.

I think we can make this really easy.
What did Marvel bring us? To name a few...
Spider Man: Boy bitten by a radioactive spider
Daredevil: Boy hit in the face with radioactive waste
Fantastic Four: People hit by radiation in space
The Hulk: Scientist hit by radiation from a government funded bomb project
Long story short, I feel like Stan Lee didn't have very good story writing ability.. Just hero creation ability. I think he's a senile old man who should be driving a bus somewhere.
That being said, I did like the Spider Man comics, and the X-Men for a little while. Actually, what I liked about Spider Man is how he really was a regular guy. He wasn't some rich guy who had all his needs funded by unknown sources. He was struggling through life like every other kid his age, but while nobody was looking, he was out saving the city.
However... DC really is just so much better. You have so much better writing in here. The characters have a much more varied back story, and they make sense! None of this.. Deal with the devil to save a life, but the consequences are... Super human powers?
For the record, Batman always has been my hero. This is a man who has shown himself to be the most brilliant man alive, and possibly the smartest humanoid in the known universe. And, opposite Spider Man, he was a regular guy. He had no powers, but he used what he did have to give him the tools he needed. But most of all, it's the way he reacted to a bad situation. A guy killed his parents. He didn't sit around and mope in a dark corner. He realized that he hated the state of the world, and he got off his sorry butt, put on a cape, and did something about it. THAT is what a hero is. You all could learn a lesson from him.
All you need is to be filthy rich.
Oh, and on a personal note, I hate Superman.

What it comes down to for me is what characters were more memerable and who did the best butt kicking.
Out of DC Batman was my favorite, as a kid I always thought he was awesome. Batman has some of the best villains too imo, a lot of them are just frickin insane, the joker is probably my favorite villain of all.
Also, I agree with a lot of what Regex said concerning Batman, so add that.
I never thought Superman had much personality, I could never really get into him.
But overall I think I'm more of a Marvel fan, X-men is my absolute favorite, I always liked Deadpools personality and Daredevil and Captain America are pretty cool too. (never cared for the female versions of superheros).

DC Comics or Marvel?
I have to say DC Comics,
because they have Batman
I prefer Marvel. DC has some great stuff (The Watchmen, Suicide Squad), but they rely on Batman and Superman too much, characters who I don't like. Batman may have the best rogues’ gallery in the biz, but that doesn't make him seem like less of a rich boy who needs counseling.
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

Sorry Regex you lost me on where you were going with that. Wasnt Batman (Bruce Wayne) a rich guy that had all his needs funded by somewhat unknown sources. Yeah Wayne Enterprises, but why doesnt ppl notice the money going somewhere unknown, *coughbatcomputercough*. Dont get me wrong, Batman is one of the most greatest heros in the DC world. I was just being anal and pointing out redundencies, Im sorry.
But like most of you that are undecisive, I too like both the DC and the Marvel universes. I dont really read the comics, just the cartoons and the movies. But I did buy the "Crisis on Infinate Earths" paper back book. That series really changed the DC universe forever. It was so epic and EVERYONE (even the villians) got involved. It was an amazing story with a kinda sad ending with some of the heros dying off for good. Im glad they found a way to bring back the Flash though.
I like the DC world, but Im a more serious fan of Marvel. Their heros show that they have drama outside their hero lives too. Spiderman struggles with keeping his Aunt May safe as Peter. The X-men had that love triangle with Wolverine, Cyclops, and Jean. The Hulk had Banner fighting Bettys father for her love. Well you get my drift. To me I just got into Marvel more because of the more powerful storylines and unique charaters and ablities.
So what if Stan Lee focused on unrealistic accidents. It shows that his imagination is almost boundless. How many DC heros had accidents compared to Marvel. Its the fact that the Marvels didnt ask to have the powers, they were just dropped on there laps and now they have to live with them that made that universe that much more different.
Okay time for the fav list portion of the show. XD (no specific order)
DC: Batman, Superman, Joker, Brainiac, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Blue Beetle (umm cant dig anyone else out that are my favorite...although..)
Marvel: Wolverine, Cyclops, Xavier, Storm, Apacolypse, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Mistyic, Bishop, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Iceman, Mister Sinister, the Sentinals, Psylock, Cable, the Morlocks, Spiderman, Venom, Carnage, G. Goblin, Doc Octopus, Ironman, Warmachine, Mandarin, Mordock, Hulk, Blade, Ghost Rider, DareDevil, Kingpin, Bulleyes, The Fantastic 4 (not naming them all), Silver Surfer, Galactis, Dr. Doom, Sub Mariner, Black Panther, Dr. Strange
i like marvel better because they've got cooler heroes i think...(heh dots)
chirumiru, drink it and your head goes chirumiru

I personally can't stand dc. I'm not a big fan of marvel but I like them better(more storyline).

Easily Marvel.
I get angry at how stupid superman is. And how easily he should be able to defeat anyone.

DC Comics here
I'm fond of both, but my favourite is Marvel.
I like them both, but I'd have to go with Marvel.
We all know Superman sucks.
>.>
I like both of them, but when you come down to it I like Marvel more. It has characters and stories I like more out of the two. You can't go wrong with X-Men and Spiderman, but I also like Superman as well.
I've always been a Marvel man. I just find the storylines to be more realistic because in Marvel they show issues that go on when the hero is not wearing the mask. I think Spiderman is one of the greatest comic book series ever. He balances the hero thing, a relationship, family, school and a career while also dealing with various interpersonal issues. Imagine that you him and you find out that Spidermans worst enemy is Peter Parkers best friend. The story lines in that series can get so deep.
Plus other series like X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil and even Ghost Rider are all connected. The crossover issues are some of the best in the buisiness. That's why Marvel has a lot of movies coming out based on their series because the storys are very good.
The only DC serires that I really like is Batman. Very similar to Spiderman in a lot of ways but it easily has the best storys for DC. This is one of the best series ever just based on the character. I also loved the whole break up with Night Wing (Dick Grayson, Original Robin) and the way they had Joker kill the other Robin was genius.
As for Image....Wildcats was interesting for a while but over time they showed that their only interest was in guns, swords, female characters barely wearing any clothes and bright metalic colors. Storyline developement was non existant.
I have not actually read any comics in a while so things may have change. And by a while I mean late 90's lol.
