Sanousuke, I have to ask, if you have a kingdom based on peace, how do you deal with those who rebel in your kingdom? Humanity, as a whole, will always find somethng they don't like about the lives they lead. So if someone challenges you, what do you do? Go to war with them?

Actually, I was thinking about this yesterday. XD If it's me being the king, or queen, whatever, I would put this world into peace, find some peace, unite people with peace, everything with peace. Arguments are fine, as long as it's healthy. I mean, no wars, nothing serious. Global warming, now that's the hardest. I'm not sure since I think I consume more energy. XD However, I know the consequences of it. So I'm going to start now, or maybe tomorrow, or...later. I dunno.
My king would be no one. I'm on my own, except for some slaves and armies. Strong ones, of course. Am I asking too much?

I think the correct question would be "If you could rule the world", not "If you could be king or queen. . ."

Well, given all the historical choices, my first would be to rule the early Moghul Empire. I mean, look at Jahangir. He boozed, was addicted to opium, and lavished with a harem of 500 women. If that's the life, I don't know what is! Okay, that was taking it a bit too far, but those people were wealthy. One of the later rulers, Shah Jahan, surrounded his throne room with twelve pillars each covered completely in emeralds. Now that is a sign of wealth. Plus, early in its history,the country was extremely stable even as Jahangir wasted away on drugs and alcohol.

Runnerups- the early Ming/Qing dynasties would definitely suffice. The Emperors had so many concubines that they would be ordered up in rows and given ranks. (Am I being hedonistic again?)

Of course, to be specific, neither of these are kingdoms, but that's beside the point. The thing is, I could really live in luxury ruling either of these empires.

Well; sorry to put a downer on this; but if I was King, I'd actually disband the Monarchy as it's outdated and unecassary in today's modern society. It also eats up funding that could be better spent on Health Care and the Police rather than hosting a 'Royal Party' for the high-up's of the world who are quite capable pof paying for such thing's themselfs!

If I was a King I would have my palace far up north, animals would be considered higher rank than humans. My queen would be my girlfriend who I already consider to be a queen. I would have human slaves working in the dungeons and animals roaming free among the lands.

Where would I live? I always liked those floating fortresses. Something like what the Zaibach empire had in Escaflowne or maybe a magical fortress like Zhaman.

My followers would be brainwashed humans. People who would be priests or fine, upstanding moral people one day and then my devout followers after their treatment. Something about the mind control just gets me all excited.

if i were king id rule Iceland force the country into isolation and build one of the best armies known to man and the country would remain neutral until i died which wouldn't happen for thousands of years,at which time they would find technology so far advanced that no one could figure out how to use the tech. except the genetically enhanced people of my country who would consider them inferior and wage war upon the humans.
afterwards the government would split because of an unfair series of rulers and all would be lost to the void

My policies are if you rebel against me....AUTOMATIC EXECUTION!!! There will be no taxes (have a world based on encouraging personal donations). There will also be freedom of speech, relgion, press (except if it's against me blah blah blah), the right to bear arms if you're responsible, education will be provided to everyone, free education, look for cures for AIDS, cancer, and other diseases yet to be cured, etc.

Mm... if I were to be a king or queen, I'd want to be an absolute monarch, lol. Sort of like Catherine the Great, but less of a ... ... less of a lady who slept with many military men. Heh.

I don't know where, maybe some place in Europe. Maybe France, that'd be pretty spiffy. Bring it back to the time of the Louises. Back to the time of the Sun King, Louis the ... XIV, I think? Fourteenth, right? Ah, my history sucks, lol.

I'd try to make 'my people' as generally happy as possible and attempt to keep wars from occuring, but at the same time, I'd build a wise, massive, strong... and loyal army-- just in case. And I would actually have people, who contrast each other in view points, as my generals-- as long as they were obedient enough to listen and comprehend instead of being [un]bias[?].

I'd love to rule during a time of a renaissance. I'd be a patron for theatre, art, music... even science, lol. It'd be more preferable to rule during the time of absolute rulers, really. France was the trend setter and all-- and it'd be so spiffy to've been a monarch at that time.

As for my king? LoL. I guess it'd have to be Louis XIV, right? Ha. I'd rather my king be someone I love-- I just don't know who at the moment.
