Disney Channel Singers

Why does everyone who acts on Disney Channel suddenly have their own album out? It's just weird and kind of annoying. Any comments?

Yes it is annoying, extremely annoying, I guess if you're part of the disney crew your not required to have real talent or know anything about music to make albums.

I quite disagree. I think all the Disney Channel's Circle of Stars have lots of talent. And not all of them sing either. Kyle Massey who plays Corey on That's So Raven doesn't. It's just that most DO, because they have many talents. Working for Disney, you have to. It's how Disney incorporates their empire. (No one who isn't that talented would be there if they didn't).

I like some of them but the rest either think they can sing since they had on a film/tv show or they think that everyone will love them when they don't

If they had real (singing) talent they would have been singers to begin with, and not acting.

This is the same reason these people also become clothes designers, or have they're own make-up brand, it's only because they have become popular in one area so their agents (or whoever) try to milk them for all they're worth while they still have a large fanbase.

I'm not a big fan of most things Disney, especially not the singers, but thats mostly because they all sing pop...which I despise. I'm mostly into metal, rock, and J-Rock.

I also hate The Jonas Bros.

Yes, I agree. Lately whenever I'm on Disney Channel I see one of their music videos every commercial break. I think Vanessa sings ok but I can't stand Hannah Montana.

I personally don't think the Disney Channel Stars are all that bad as everyone says. I think most people just don't like them because of what genre they sing. Most teenagers don't like pop for some reason, but just because they sing pop doesn't mean they aren't good.

I don't like rock as much as pop, but I enjoy listening to it. Linkin Park's "In the End" is pretty good, but I don't think it's the best. Doesn't mean I hate it though either just because it's rock.

People should realize this, but some just can't seem to open their minds a bit.

Disney channel singers have nearly zero credibility. They market the hell out of those kids.

Some of them do have talent, but the others usually aren't that great of singers. Or dancers even. But if Disney can make a profit off of them, then they'll keep throwing more out there.
Though keeping in mind the audience it's directed towards, younger kids to pre-teens. They don't look that far into the music at that age (or most don't), they don't analyze it as much as older teens/adults who are really into their music scene, and the music/content reflects that.

even more anoying then their albums is that disney can come up with some really retarded movie (like that one about the kid playing jump rope) and make major amounts of money off of it. HELLO it's a kid playing jump rope!

I tend to ignore them, but those that catch my attention bug the crap out of me. The biggest ones being Jesse McCartney, Hillary Duff, and Hannah Montana. Vanessa isn't so bad but I still think she's pretty generic.

I can't believe some people thought Jesse was related to Paul McCartney.

ok, in my opinion, since i am a disney fan ^-^;; i think that some of them do have talent, and some dont. Like Hilary duff, she thinks she can sing, and at times she can at times she cant. I think alot of the singers might have taken a music lesson once or twice(or more times), but it also depends on the song that they sing is how you hear them. Since i sing in a choir, i know i can reach some of the higher notes. Disney sometimes makes them reach father than they can do and they sound horrible. And sometimes they sound great when they sing. Like most of the HS Musical singers in my opinion where good, its just that the part that had to sing was more pop, so they didn't sound as great. If you listen to some of their own songs, that sound a hell of alot better than in the movie. You just need to hear some of their own songs and not the ones that disney makes them sing

I think it's great with disney-people making their own records and such. Its just because we're getting older we think that it's "annoying" to hear about thier songs about friendsip and love all the time. But seriously, when you were 7 years old you didn't listen to Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine or Nightwish. Let kids be kids and quit complaining about the "annoying" music. Its good for the kids god da*nit.
