OOC: IMPORTANT!!!

Leo smiled sadly, "Well a few escaped." he left the sentence hanging, "We think it was something to do with a diterr attack. The station had been took over so the council self destructed it to save the planet. Thats what we've managed to gather." Leo let go of the boys hand and stood up. "I'll be over in the church, when you're ready just come over. I'd enjoy your company." Leo gave one more last little smile before departing and making his way back to the church...

The presidents smile finally vanished as he read the report. All the way home and all day he had been smiling, all because his plan was working. He was now sat at home, his armchair pulled close to the grand fireplace as he sipped his sherry. The report had been handed to him about an hour ago but he was too happy to read about another lose to his diterr army, or more about how the labratory on the planet Gemini had yet again failed to make the perfect diterr.
But it was much worst. The human army had made it to the diterr earth camp. But how? He read on tutting at this and that before dropping his glass of sherry and standing up. This wasn't possible! He ran to his home pc and loaded up the lab reports on diterr growth. He was almost sick. They were smart, but not just in battle tactics. In everything...

He needed to destroy the home planet now, pulling out another keyboard below the first he pressed in a keycode. Then something happened, the pc couldn't find the diterr homeworld co-ordinates. They were blocking his signal. But if the army got to the heart of the Earths base they would find overwhelming evidence that he was involved in the project.
He sat down and put his head in his hands, had he doomed the entire human race? He had only meant to make Orchid superior to Earth. Then he would destroy the diterr puppets and have gained ultimate power. But then it all went wrong.
He sat back down at the pc desk and loaded up his e-mails. He set it to send a E-mail in 4 hours and sat back. He'd at least tell the army what he knew.

He walked over to his jacket that he had discarded on the back of his chair earlier and rumaged through the pockets. Finally he found it. His gun. Taking one last swig of sherry he placed the cold barrel to his temple, he couldn't wait for the heat of hell. All he could feel at the moment was an eternal coldness. Releasing the safety latch he felt a tear fall down his face before being interupted from his dark deed. The computer had come to life, and a diterr was on the screen... talking to him.

He placed the gun down and walked over to the pc. Turning the sound up he listened to the rasping sounds of his very own diterr talking to him. Only after the transmission ended did he close the window and walk back towards the gun. Placing the gun back to his temple he though about what he had heard, all hope was lost now...


How was 70 or so army men meant to stand against the hordes of thousands now walking their way? The diterr army would reach them soon and stop them from getting the co-ordinates from the base, putting an end to all of the plans of the human race.
His last feeling was hopelessness...

Max turned as the man accosted him and outstretched his hand towards the spy. Max's eyes were still hidden behind his red-tinted sunglasses, and he nodded faintly at the man's statement about his earlier disguise. Gruffly, he spoke in the no-nonsense tone of a veteran soldier, "It worked, didn't it?" as he shook the man's hand.

As soon as that was over, he excused himself politely but firmly and made his way over to the seat next to Karia which had recently been vacated. Unslinging his machinegun, he pulled the bipod down and set it to rest on the floor beside him before turning to her and talking, "I have information for you, Captain Lygoust."

Karia had been enjoying herself. She immediately recognized Wraith when he waltzed in. She glanced at Tul whom she'd been talking to just a bit earlier. "You'll have to excuse, Private Leon" She said then looked at Wraith. "Of course" Her immediate switch from enjoying the night to serious was made as easily as one would tie a shoe.
Tul nodded then turned to look at the soldier whom was still carrying on with his immpressions, the man just looked pathetic now. Tul poked the guy nearest to him. "Come on, man, give 'em some space" His words were loud enough so that the whole group would hear him. The guy just turned around but not before giving Tul the evil eye. Tul winked at Karia then pretended to be absorbed in the immpressions once again.
Karia was grateful to Tul for allowing her some space to talk to Wraith. Althought she did notice that he very casually kept one eye on the preformance and one eye on her.

Momo didnt realize that she had been dozing until things started getting quiet. She looked around to see Leo's brother confronting a solider she had never seen before. As the unidentified solider went to take a seat next to Captian Lygoust, Momo stood up and streched a little. As she flung her bag over her shoulder, she searched to crowd for Leo's face. She searched the the faces once more before she headed outside. As the cool air hit her face, she couldnt help but give a small shudder. It was inviting and intoxicating and a little bit stimulating, as if she was just now waking up.

Pulling off her hat, she looked glanced around for Leo and, not seeing him, stuffed her hat in her back pocket before setting off to explore a little bit. She walked around to the back of the church to see a feild with grass that reached your ankle who's edges clambered into almost a straight line with the beginning of a woods. Momo couldnt help but stand and admire its beauty as the few flowers in the feild seemed to glow in the moon light and the trees in the distance seemed to dance a waltz of harmony.

Leo was almost back at the church when he saw Momo walk out and walk off. He cocked his head to one side to look into the church. There was talking but not the loud laughter from before. He set off slowly after Momo, had something happened?
He walked around the fallen steeple (sp) of the church and set off round the corner close to the wall. Seeing Momo stop near a feild he stopped too and watched for a few seconds before carefully walking up behind her and gently pulling the hat from her pocket and placing in on his own head. He stood next to her smiling, "Beautiful, isn't it? It's amazing that something as amazing as this still survives after all this time." He tilted the hat comically and walked into the field. Seeing a bunch of flowers he walked over to them and pulled off a stem. It held two small blue flowers that seemed to smile at him at he walked back towards Momo.
Pulling off one of the flowers he placed it in his pocket, "Now you should feel privledged," he joked, "Not many girls get this show of affection. You keep one and i'll keep the other. Sound good to you?" He smiled again holding out the little flower...

Darren felt good. This was finally ending, whether it all turned out alright or not was a different matter, but either way it would be the end for him. Taking out his PDA he set an alarm to wake him in about 6 hours. Dawn would be the time they striked and hopefully ended this.
He walked past Karia on his way to the stairs of the church steeple. He clambered over fallen bricks and smashed glass as he climbed the cracked stairs up to the open roof. Sitting on half of a smashed bell he looked out over a forest to the south as he watched Leo walk out from the shadow of the church. Darren then saw the girl from earlier with him and he turned his gaze around. No point invading on what looked like a precious moment.

He then smiled to himself, he was glad he had seen his brother again, all of this recent conflict had brought out at least one good thing. He then stole a glance back at the pair as Leo handed out the flower.
Darren grinned, ok... maybe two good things...
He pushed the bell aside and layed down on the floor, tomorow was the big day. The final battle, possibly his finest hour...

Max surveyed the room after getting Karia's attention, noting that now he had all of the attention. Not an ideal spot for planning, that was for sure. But he turned his attention back to Karia and opened his PDA, using it as a visual reference as he talked.

"I found the Diterr base, exactly where it's supposed to be." He pointed on the map to a location merely a few miles from their current. "The problem is, it's completely underground, security at the front gate is decent, and there's a couple thousand Pharoahs that hang their hats there." He switched the map to a different one, showing the locations of the air vents. "These 4 are air vents to the complex. 3 of them are covered and alarmed. The fourth one is the one I busted out through. No easy task and I ended up ruffling every feather in the flock."

He then turned his PDA to show a slideshow of pictures he had taken during his journey through the facility, "It's layed out in pretty much a V shape of two main corridors, with several connecting passageways and even more chambers, most of which serve as places to sleep for the troops." He stopped at certain pictures to highlight his speech, "However, they have a few laboratories full of equipment, human tech, and it's working. They also have a weapons lab and behind these doors here," He brought up the picture of the two big doors with the guards that he hadn't been able to pass, "is doubtlessly something important, since it's the only guarded entryway in the place, aside from the front entryway." He left out the statement, 'Since I didn't have a chance of getting inside.

He closed the PDA and faced her, "Karia," It was the first time he had called her by her first name, "I have a wierd feeling about this one. These creatures are planning something. I would suggest that, even after your march, we move out as quickly as time permits and try to catch them sleeping. I don't want a couple battalion's worth of spear tossing aliens knocking at your front door tomorrow morning."

It was now her time to speak, hopefully she would heed his advice.

Momo watched Leo as he took her hat, blushed when he handed her the flower but still took it, anyway. She pushed her hair behind one of her ears and slipped the flower in with it. "Thanks," she said. Then with a quick hand, she snatched her hat back off his head. "Well, that was easy," she said sticking it back in her back pocket. "You need to watch it!" she playfully. She stretched and took off her backpack before laying down on the soft, cool grass, gesturing for Leo to join her. It was so calm and peaceful here that to think that war could be anywhere near a place like this was unbelivable.

Leo cursed playfully as she snatched the hat back. Watching her as she layed down he looked up at the floating embers coming from the church and thought about what she said. But really, how could war be so close to such place as peaceful as this?
He sat down next to her and looked into the nearby trees. How easy it would be to just take her hand and just run for the trees. He'd never even have to look back and he could live on instead of walking into a main diterr camp.
But that wasn't tha man he was, his brother wouldn't walk away and he knew that in his heart he couldn't either.
"Hey it's a nice night, i might sleep out here." he said before shivering involuntarily, "Yeah well, maybe with a blanket."
He etched closer and put his head next to hers, finally lying down. "What are you going to do after this, after the war?" he started to wonder about his own future, "Thats if we get through it..."

Gro' na' Kyung looked at his troops and gave a hearty chuckle, well as much of a chuckle as a diterr could give. He looked at his 600 troops and shouted at them to get ready to march. The other 3 and a half thousand would be used to make sure that no extra reinforcements arrived to help the little maggots on the floor. He knew the base was almost empty at the minute, only about 80 troops were still inside waiting for the humans. Apart from the fact that they still didn't know the humans were there. None of the previous radio signals could get inside the layers of rock so he had told the few troops that could use a radio to stop even trying.
It would take at least 7 or 8 hours to reach the base from here, so he shouted at the men some more, knowing that atleast half of them probably couldn't understand a word, then set off.

Momo paled a little. "We'll make it through, trust me but I.... I dont really know. I had planned on going back and just living with my family till I figured out what to do with my life but......." she said trailing off not really knowing what to say next. "I dont know. What about you?" she asked, closing the space between them by reaching her hand over and lacing her fingers into his.

Leo blushed deeper red than he had in a long time, he silently thanked the moonlight and pondered Momo's question. He had 2 plans for the future but couldn't decide on one. He looked up a a particually bright and beautiful star as he pondered what to say.
A small gust of wind blew over and he felt Momo's hand shiver ever so slightly... his mind was made up. He sat up on one elbow and looked into her eyes, "Well i was going to hang around with Darren and see where that got me but i think i have a better plan." He clasped her hand firmly as he carried on, "I'm gona come with you and help you find your family down on Orchid; thats if you can put up with me." he laughed.
Yeah, Darren didn't need his little brother hanging round him, and anyway Momo needed him more at the minute. She was strong but the loss of family would hurt her greatly. He had to be there incase that happened, but silently as he stared straight into both beautiful eyes, he hoped with all his heart, it hadn't...

Momo felt her heart skip a beat. Stay with her? The thought was exilarating. She looked into his eyes and couldnt help but melt. "Leo......." she whispered. She leaned forward and her lips met his. A shiver ran through her body and the tips of her fingers tingled with ecstasy. It took her a few seconds before she realized what she was doing and she quickly pulled back. "I... Oh....I..." she said turning beet red and diverting her eyes to the ground. She hadnt meant to but she couldnt control herself....

Leo almost fainted. He couldn't help but smiling as she pulled away, "Am i that bad?" he grinned as she stared at the ground. "I'm just glad you feel the same way."
He stood up, "I'll be back in a minute, i'll get some drinks."
As he walked away back towards the church the dark thoughts strayed back into his mind, what if that was the last kiss he ever recieved? What if he only had the chance to spend one day with Momo.
He reached the door to the open hall and the flames seemed to give him extra hope. The memory of the kiss lingered and he smiled as he walked through the hall. He made his way towards an older soldier who had set up a church pew with small tins of drink and flasks of other liquids set all along it.
"What would you advise for a minor?" he asked smiling at the old man.
The man looked dangerously drunk as he swayed and said, "Well just take two of these..." he managed to mumble before falling over and out of sight. He picked up the said tins and took a sip, it tasted like strong wine. That would do for Momo, what could he have?
An alien walked over and took a small flask of the same wine. "Strong stuff for a human that is kid. But if your looking for something to put up to sleep theres nothing better."
He thanked the alien and grabbed a tin of his own before walking back outside. He made it to Momo and handed her the drink, "Try it, it should be nice." He then put his arm around her and sat there, happier than he could ever remember being, just looking at the majestic trees in the distance...

Darren sat up and looked at the PDA, it had only been about 10 minutes. He just couldn't sleep. He looked back out at Leo and saw that they were now just sat there holding each other. His PDA beeped suddenly and he picked it back up from the floor. Reading slowly he chuckled darkly as it all started to come together. The president, the sudden appearance of the diterr all those years ago... The message ended with, 'and it seems he sent an e-mail about 20 minutes ago, its protected to be sent in another 3 hours. Only then will we know what has truely happened..."
But darren already knew, it was Orchids president. He controlled the diterr, or had. It seemed as if a maid or worker in the house had walked in on the presidents dead body. Something had gone wrong, Darren hit the bell he was sat on, he almost had it. He just couldn't see the full plan, and why did he commit suicide? What had caused that?
Walking back downstairs he stopped at the drinks and grabbed a small tin of a dark coloured liquid, draining it in one he sat down behind Karia as the black-ops member just finished talking, time to sort something out...

Momo took the can and mummered a thank yo before she took a sip. She grimaced a little before quickly getting used to the unfamiliar bitter taste. As Leo put his arm around her, she leaned her head tiredly on his shoulder. Thoughts of a happy future and a grande time without war at your back. She also thought of all the different things that could go wrong. She also thought of her and Leo. She took another sip and let her eyes wander from the stars and trees and flowers and trees. She reached her hand up and fingered the flower Leo had given her earlier. "Leo, you have to promise that you'll get out of this alive, ok?" she told him, her face still faced toward the trees. "Thats the only thing you have to do for me." She took another sip from her can and let out a big yawn.

Leo drained his tin, swayed at the sudden rush and lent backwards till he was laying down. He made sure Momo hadn't fallen then looked at the same bright star as earlier, "Ok, i won't die, not now that i've found you..." He sneezed as he rolled on his side, "Lets get some sleep..."

The commander of the human forces wasn't in a happy mood. All of his best hackers hadn't been able to get the e-mail from the deceased president to go faster. He hit the table in front of him and shouted some more orders. It would still take over 3 hours if he just sat back and waited for the e-mail to make its way to him naturally. He thought about Captain Fiest and Lygoust. He didn't want to lose two of his finest because of a stupid e-mail. Hitting the table again he span around and walked up to the best hacker he had, a small man in his 20's.
"How well is it going?"
The man shoved his glasses back up his nose but they just slipped straight back down fron the stupid amount of sweat that was pouring from his every pore.
"Sir i have managed to get a bit of the e-mail but not all of it. We got this sentence 'I am truely sorry, for all i have done death is but the smallest punishment. I await in the fires of hell. To those who it may concern, i have a secret that you all need to...'. I'm sorry sir, thats all we'll be able to get without damaging it, we'll have to wait for the time limit now sir..."

Karia's full attention was riveted on Wraith. What he was saying was just as bad as saying she'd lost all her troops. While the reply was being formualted in her mind, Darren showed up. Karia turned a bit. "Darren..." She trailed off as she realized his expression wasn't what she wouldexpect after a night at the bonfire. "What is it?"
Tul finished watching the young soldier do his impressions. His heart just wasn't in it and he'd suspect that everyone else felt that way too. He gently pushed the young man and took the stage. "I think it'd be best if we got some sleep tonight"
"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Someone demanded.
"I'm not just a suggestion" Tul turned around and commenced in finding his own place to sleep.

Darren looked from Karia to Wraith. "No, we won't move out for another... 4-5 hours. Then i'll know what we're up against and what actions need to be taken. Its obvious that the co-ordinates to the home planet are behind the door you speak of so getting in there is a must but i think theres a lot more on their way."
He looked around at the few faces that were listening. "I say we take a team of around 10-20 into the base while the others stay out here and fight any reinforcements. We need rest to work best so i say that we set a 5 hour time limit rest now, then we get up, get ready and attack. Are you ok with that?" He directed the question towards the Black-ops member...

Leo was amazed at the strength of the wine, he wasn't a heavy drinker, but it still was helping him fall asleep, he looked up at Momo and tryed to reach up for one last kiss, but fell down and was out before he knew it. He just hoped she wouldn't be angry with him in the morning...

Momo smiled down at Leo's sleeping face. She leaned over him and gave him a light kiss on the cheek. She drained the rest of her wine and put her tin by his. "Goodnight, Leo," she whispered to the sleeping Leo before she layed down next to him and put her head on his shoulder. Sleep quickly over came her as she layed there, her body next to his, her dreams stirring in her head. And as she fell deeper and deeper into sleep, a small smile crossed her lips.

Karia wasn't quite sure how much Darren had heard but she really didn't care. His plan saved her from having to decide what to do. She looked quietly at Wraith waiting for his oppinion. I'm caught between two men...She thought wryly. A bit of smile formed at this wandering thought but it quickly disappeared. She glanced towards where she'd last seen Tul for a moment to try hide it. So he's gone to sleep has he? She wondered before pulling her mind back to the problem at hand.
Tul wasn't getting anywhere with his efforts to sleep. He sat up and looked around. Sure enough the group had broken up. But, another small group had formed. And if he wasn't mistaken it was where Karia and that man had goen to speak. People around here are really nosy. Tul thought. He sat back against a deterioating (sp?) wall.

Max nodded at the man's advice and coalesced (great word! Yay Me!) his thoughts into one unit before speaking.

"I agree that sleep is a necessity for a soldier to function. But I can't shake this bad feeling that something is going down soon, so I propose a compromise. We move into position now, then rest in place for the final attack. Seperate the wounded into Walking and Non-Walking. I'm afraid that, in the interests of speed and necessity, we may have to leave the non-walking here. Place them into a good defensive posture with plenty of explosives, that way if something goes down they can defend themselves with adequate ability. They can also act as a decoy, if necessary. The Walking wounded go with us to set up a good ambush at the main entrance of the facility. As for an entry team, I propose two teams totaling 10 men. The first team down will be a four-person element charged with getting behind that big door and investigating it. Team 2 will be a six-person element to clear from the entry point forward. I'd advise seperating it into a 4-man stack with the extra 2 men providing security at the main corridor entrance to every room the 4-man element enters. This way we have already moved, slept, and we enter and clear the facility thoroughly."

Max looked back towards the two captains. "I'm going to be honest, I just don't want to stay here for the night. Call it a gut feeling or something, but I've had enough premonitions that have kept me alive so far that I trust them without hesitation."

Darren placed his head in his hands. This plan was exactly what they needed, but only if there was something coming. Otherwise it was a lot of hassle. He looked up, "Ok half an hour then we go and set up everything. It would be wise for me and Captain Lygoust to pick the teams that actually enter the facillity. We know the men better than you."

He stood up and shouted around, "Get some sleep, 30mins top, then we head out. Get all of the wounded near the door, they need to be in three groups. Those that can't hold a gun, those that can but can't walk and the walking wounded. All in 30mins people!"
He sat back down but grabbed a soldier who was slowly walking past, "Could you go around the back of the church and shout for a boy named Leo, tell him to come in."
The soldier nodded and hurried off.
"Now lets pick the members of the first squad, and sorry but i'm definately going. I know it sounds childish but i've seen it this far so i'm going to the end. Karia, its up to you where you go but stick with Tul, he'll be extra back up. And Sir..." He turned to the Black-ops member, "Do you have any plans for yourself? Or does coming with me sound good?"...

Byakuya entered the meeting room and looked around. Some of the faces he knew and others he didnt. Byakuya only grinned and stepped forward. "Where is my place and what do you need me to do?" Byakuya had joined a group of fighters that were the onyl thing that could stop the Diterr. Byaluya would work along side them and make sure that they successed.

Max nodded as soon as Darren had spoke. "I will be leading the first team in. I know the defenses and I know the interior, thus I should be the point man. I'd prefer to keep you and Karia on my team with a fourth team member of your choosing. For the second entry team, choose six of your most capable soldiers, but do remember to appoint a good leader for the ambush team. Everything else, you do know better so I will be confident in your selection. Is that acceptable to you?"

Max was liking these leaders already. They had respect for him so he would in turn respect them. All that needed to happen now was that every gear turn right so they could get moving. But that seemed like it was happening already. Not that it helped that gut feeling, telling him to get out while the getting was good.

Leo heard the shout and groggily sat up, "Over here, i'll be in in a minute..."
He laughed under his breath, that wine really was nasty. He carefully shook Momo, "Come on, we have to go inside, something must've happened."...

Darren thought about it. "Well the first entry team should be you, me, Karia and Tul. Then i know a fair few good soldiers for the second team."
It was then that the guardian that had attacked Karia earlier walked in. Darren was about to say something when the boy spoke.
"Ah, so you want to help? Well just wait for Leo to come back then stick with him. He shouldn't be long."...

Karia noticed a connecting thread between all the plans. Tul. Not that he was incompetent but there might've been a few others she would have chosen before him. She glanced over again trying to find out where he was. She spotted him near a crumbling wall. It was then that she was almost knocked backwards by the force of her vision...

Tul settled against the wall listening to the chatter from various areas. Protecting Karia was not an easy thing to do she wasn't like most of the human women Tul had met, but then again maybe that was because she wasn't exactly human, she was also touchy about who she put in the way of danger for herself in other words she didn't put others in danger for herself if she could help it.
