My favorite artist ever is Francisco Goya. I love his work because in his later years becoming deaf made him realize that he should paint as he always wanted. And when he was older is when his paintings began to reflected what he thought human nature was.
And it's amazing to see Goya's pictures transform too. He painted a bright and beautiful painting of a scene and would years later create the same scene in a much darker tone. Goya is amazing.

Tite Kubo-taichou's art has always inspired me. It all started when I first began watching what is now my favorite anime, Bleach. The storyline and the impact it did to my life... i was on the second season in no less than a month (could have been less than that if school didn't exist)! I had already been drawing for 3 years by then, my images and style all horrible... Tite introduced me to the anime and manga style of Shonen--the art style that suits me best!

Now the empty gap was filled in by Tite Kubo and his amazing series! Thanks to him, my life is more enjoyable, and I too, am a Manga Ka [and animator]!

I don't know much about famous artists but I do remember Jackson Pollock. His name came up because i saw a video on him in one of my art classes and they were talkin about his "action painting" and i thought it looked so fun to paint the way he does. I suck at painting but i do enjoy it now cuz i do that action painting stuff no matter wat the assignment is.

Even now i'll look at a Jackson Pollock painting and i can't tell you crap. I kno it would probably be real fun to imitate it though.

Banksy. An awesome graffiti artist, his stuff looks great and he knows how to make his point. My favorite piece is probably the telephone box with a pick in it... not quite sure if it has a title :/

Drew Struzan. Once you see what artwork he's done you'll know exactly why I admire his work. My favorite piece is one of the Hellboy pieces.

Ohh, thank you SOOO much! I have been trying to remeber this person's name for SO LONG! And I have imitated--or tried to at least--the "action painting" at an art camp over the summer with some friends once. I think i was the one painted not the canvas. EVILE PEOPLE! xDD

But after quick thinking, my traditional art heroine would be KidChan... a mixed artist to be exact. Still awesome with the anatomy and vintage colors though :3

Nagi/S.E.C (Character illustrator of Ar Tonelico series)
His character designs are just so beautifully composed; colors, expression, clothes (other factors plays it's part as well). I placed in an example of his work, featuring K-ON!s lovely Mio! (and her lefty bass guitar!)

Ryusuke Hamamoto (Manga artist)
His illustrations usually has a very cute and cartoon-y look to them. His use of colors knows no end, dammit! His shading style is unique as well. 2 examples, one a thumbnail sized of "Sweet Home" and the 246.8kb size of "Kittypatra".

I second this. I love her art for a lot of reasons.

For one, her style is really attractive for my eyes. I can't keep my eyes of them!

She's also the reason how I got into anime/manga drawing. I was looking up a tutorial for anime/manga, but I was so confused because there were like dozens of tutorials and they all had a different way of explaining and they all used different styles. Then I came across Julie Dillon's, I visited her site and decided I should follow hers. ever since that day I fell in love with her art. <3
