Whipping by these saddened dreams
That life I left at seventeen
I'm lost within my misery
And pain that lies inside
How dark can one truly think?
As thick as blood their life is what they drink
The dark and evil thoughts of predetermined sin
The life that is said to be, starts off in that whim
Asking questions reading lies
Falling upon my darkened eyes
Soaring past this blackened sky
The will and wind that passes by
Can there not be a true way to see
The reality inside one's kind?
Deep in ones blackened pitch
The last effort of pain to ditch
They sew up their thoughts with a stitch
Their impulse that drives them to cut, that itch
They fear the everlasting sun
That is reality and rightly defined
They cannot see past the sea of deepened darkness dawned
They seem to think their misery is one in a million gone
They want to be set free from chains they have the key to
They say every time that they really will, do
But they never do,
they never stop,
they never go the full blown drop
One in a million are those who do,
Going past the line of life in plume
To separate their pain from soul
To kill what makes them feel so bold
So stupid the act is,
And why must it be like this?
There is so much more
In life for
Those who explore
And go on,
onto tomorrow.
In the future lies little sorrow,
For if you live the day,
And take the upward way
You'll find that life is truly a gift
Never let it go so you'll never miss
What glory life really holds.
