Anger at Polish President's gay remarks

Gay and Lesbian groups have called on the Polish President, Lech Kaczynski, to withdraw remarks he made earlier today attacking gay culture as a threat to the survival of the human race.
During a debate at the Forum on Europe in Dublin, Mr Kaczynski said 'homosexual culture' should not be promoted as an alternative.



So what do you think, is the president horribly out of line or is the human race really on the brink of extinction. Post you views on the topic, ill reserve my own for now.

hehe yup. I've got a lesbian 'sis' that's in love with a woman. Both of them want to have a kid when they are older. So invetro will have to be the method.

Of course the homosexuals are going to be offended, however it's just one person's opinion and it's not like that is going to make the gay magically dissipate.

I feel that if homosexuality were a virus, yes, the human race could go extinct. However, it's not; it doesn't spread and it doesn't infect. The world is so completely overpopulated as it is that I think the gay community is actually helping.

This a just a shame, but I'm glad he apologized...even though I'm pretty sure he still thinks the same way. Crazy Polish Catholics, they're so fundamentalist and religious its not even worth laughing at (trust me I know).

You know. I don't let comments like his get to me. He doesn't pay my bills or hang out with me, and quite frankly, I don't honestly care about his opinion, or false apology.

He's not very wise, considering the fact that (the world is severly overpopulated anyway). Homosexuality on earth, I think, is nature's way of keeping order and balance in human quantities.

The chances of a meteor or global warming is a far greater threat, than homosexuality. Religious and political parties need to realize this, and focus their enery on stopping something that actually HAS the chance of destroying humanity.

Well, for one thing, genetics often are a bit more complicated then just normal inheritance. If I remember correctly, the "gay" gene is transmitted only through the mother’s genes, making it possible to transmit it without it being "active."

As for the rest... many gay men during periods where it wasn't socially acceptable to be gay married women and had children.

Well, I don't understand what the fuss is all about. I mean, simply since this man is the President of Poland doesn't necessarily make his opinion the official policy of his country. But if it was though, then I think it's wrong.

Well, I do not think that gay people are a threat to society. Not yet, anyway. If this keeps up, it could gradually grow into a threat. But I doubt it, from what Manhatten_Proj said. I don't think homosexuality will grow or diminish.

I think that the president is just one person's opinion; sure, he's a president, but he's still a human. I don't know Polish policies, but if they have an amendment like ours about freedom of speech, then shouldn't he be entitled to it too?

Actually, since Heterosexuality has become an option, we can understand the real sexuality of humans. We were born to be homosexuals. Oh, the survival of the human race is no problem, we will allways artificially inseminate, for the natural way never was pleasant anyway. The heterosexuals, ladies and genelemen, are the real plague upon this world. It is thanks to THEM that we cannot sleep well. Seriously, we become tired of their "Straight Pride Parades", "Romance" and even their marriage should be made illegal; a man's union with a woman is outrageus! Personally homosexuality does not appeal to me at all. I don't find guys attractive in the slightest. I don't "hate" homosexuals and I'm not homophobic, I just don't see a reason to do things with a guy that I can do with a girl.

Why do you "hate" gay men but noy "hate" gay women? I've never understood how you could find one attractive but the other repulsive. If your gonna discriminate do it properly and hate both. Stop doing it half assed. Be as full assed you can be.

Most men enjoy the idea of two women together, because its 'hot'. Men dont wanna see two men together because it isnt as attractive as two women going at it.
Think about it this way: when men watch porn, do you think they watch it for the guys? Nope.
Do I think its ok to like one and hate the other? Nope. Its close-minded, and for the wrong reasons.
