    You were wondering how tuning out sounds would help you sleep when you repped me. To be honest I have no clue how it works...it's a samurai trick I picked up from a book, so it could be a false fact.

    I sleep with my radio low enough so that I can just barely hear it and with my old teddy bear in my arms. I also put my fan on high, since I like cold air (for the most part). I toss and turn a lot in bed, too, so listening to some rock music with the cold air in my face helps me fall asleep faster.

    I sleep with a comfortable soft blanky. It helps me to sleep well. Even when I am under stress, When I have trouble sleeping, and when I other kind of situations. Yes. It is sad that I have a blanky. And Im 14!! ;_;

    I don't know why, but for some reason, no matter how tired I may be, I can never sleep unless I'm face down/on my stomach. I can put my head on my desk and sleep easily, and when I sleep at night I always have to roll onto my stomach, but in a car or lying on my back I just can't sleep.

    As for curing insomnia, we should all take a lesson from Xero, GET MORE EXERCISE DURRING THE DAY.

    I have trouble getting to sleep, and staying asleep.
    I have found though that by changing which way your head is sleeping, it can either promote healthier sleep patterns, or detract from them. I like to sleep with my head facing north east.
    Also, I get Chineese sleeping pills from my local herbalist in china town( so much cheaper then the western ones, and it works just as good). They generally just help you and your mind relax and destress a little, also a glass of chamomile tee helps as well. and I would stronly suggest Yoga during the day, it is good physical excercise, but, at the same time, relaxes you.
    Of course the basic, of trying not to stress out so much, like letting the little things go helps too.
    Hope this helps a little.

    (my reply) for me I often try to find the most bazzar sleeping ways to lay down and most of the time I do get to sleep. In the subject of dreams, I never really have any that scare me, just ones that get my mind thinking way to much. Then I get some kind of rush all the time, like I'm going to be in some sort of trouble or something like that.

    yeah I'll try those too and no if all else fails I will not try medication cause I don't like haveing to swallow anything that is not food! -_- my Grandmother can agree to that as well as anyone else that knows me well. like my sis ^^ YoKu!

    usually i have no problem going to sleep but on the odd occasion when my mind is worrying i tell myself to worry about it in the morning. if my mind keeps wandering i get up and play video games until my eyes scream in pain. then i pass out pretty well

    For me, it really depends. I love sleeping and often find myself sleeping to much...I find that I am much more of a night owl than a day time person. Its kind of wierd and I'm not sure how I got to be like that. When I can't sleep, I just lay on my back and stare up at fake stars on my ceiling until I get sleepy. Other times, I call this music chat line on my cell phone that's free and look for interesting people to talk to (which is rare! LOL) about music or movies or whatever. But mostly I just stare at my fake stars and zone out...because its comforting. : )

    if you can't go to sleep while your mind is wandering, force yourself to. your mind will still wander but in a sleep mode.

    If I can't sleep, I just put it on C-SPAN or Bloomberg and then I get bored and then I go to sleep.

    I don't have any trouble sleeping, but if my mind wanders I just concentrate on the blackness of when my eyes are closed. Then my mind gets bored and it shuts off.
