In the Moonlight

Uh. Some random thing. It's more actually a song, but.. heh. It was inspired by my favourite manga/anime that I actually finished reading yesterday. =)



It’s strange now to see that the emotions I once hid
Are so easily tampered with and changed
It is terrifying to be seen

Though, it’s relaxing, in a way
That these secrets are now unfolding
I no longer have to smile, when inside I wish to cry

And though the thought of death does not make me afraid
This doesn’t mean that I want to die
The life I was given is important to more than myself

But if you should see my fading light
Amongst the river waves
Please don’t think that I meant to weaken

I just can’t be strong without you around

I’ve smiled endlessly for years
Knowing that you were gone already
I blocked that from my memory

What if it’s pointless, in the end?
To maintain a certain happiness
Does that mean we should give up now?

The illusion that we will be free
Is more than I can take
I don’t believe in life

I won’t accept this change
That without pain, there can be no joy
Because it’s harder to go forward, when hope is in the past

But I feel not melancholy
For the joy and feelings that I lack
Sometimes I think it’s better when you can’t feel at all

And though the thought of death does not make me afraid
This doesn’t mean that I want to die
The life I was given is important to more than myself

I’m going to keep on shining
Just like the moon
I’ll light the way
