No, but I've seen a few taped. I want to go, but then.... I don't.
Actually yes, I have been to it. It's quite the...experience. ^_^

I've seen a movie by that title, but there is an actual show?
Perhaps the world was never meant to make perfect sense.
if you could call it that. the thing is so weird that it is very hard to explain. people, usually 17 to 20something to a theaterish place to see it. people just wanting to have a good time but dont be surprised if you see wasted people there. but yeah people in the audience join in on uh how can i put it? "skits" and then watch the movie as actors on the stage act out the scenes.Originally Posted by Tetsanosuke
that was a horrible explanation but it must be experienced to truly understand. its fun you really got to try it. uh if you dont mind slightly sexual themes....>>
Never been, but want to go; I love the movie.
Actually, some friends and I sang the "Time Warp" at a karaoke a few weeks ago. So much fun.
Seen the movie, and love it. I would love to go to the show. Sounds awesome.

From Transexual, Transylvania... always make me ROFL... lol
I have seen the movie many times, but I have never went to it and I have also always wanted to go to the theater and see the people dress up and dance with the movie.

If you only knew young one, LOL. *rubs hands together in an evil manner* Just remember to dress as a character from the movie,,,,,, or else,,,,,,, you be branded a VIRGIN. You must never forget such things when dealing with the cult classics. But alas, it is so hard to find theaters still doing audience particpation. Just remember, costume, toast, and toilet paper. And it helps if you know what you're suppost to scream during certaint parts of the movie. Like when they say the name Magenta, you scream "what's your favorite color!"Originally Posted by Ami~chan
But alas you youngins wouldn't know of the shear magnitude of the experience, lol. And just try doing the Time Warp in a full leg brace, lol.
bwaha dont forget: HAIL COKE!!!!! and technically over here if you havent been to it in the last 3 months the brand you *they always know O.O trust me*Originally Posted by therebel

The actual movie is not very good at all. I would really like to go a midnight show sometime though.
Honestly, the movie is quite terrible. I don't think I've ever met another male that likes it. Maybe there is a reason behind that. Maybe it is just the area I live in. Or maybe it is that every male that likes it is demented.
I know in California there is practically a big scene for it... (Ha ha at your people, Brody). They even do Rocky Horror on the Queen Mary now, in Long Beach. The Queen Mary! Come on, that is a historical ship... The Grey Ghost of WWII, the famous luxury liner... Now it is a docked hotel in Long Beach, and sadly hosts Rocky Horror gatherings.
Rocky Horror is one of the WORST movies I've ever seen. Just like Water World.
No, but since we played songs from it in an orchestra concert I asked my mother about it afterwards. She said that the crowd participates; throwing toast at the screen, holding newspapers above their heads, squirting others with squirt guns...sounds like tons-o-fun!

it IS quite bad. but its horribleness *thats a word now* is what makes people like it. i have honestly never met someone who said the movie was goodOriginally Posted by Kishiro
They played it for years at my local theater weekly at Midnight on Fridays and saturdays. The theater pushed for audience participation with the toast and rice and everything else being throwed. If you dressed up you got half your admission price off.
The movie sucked, the theater was always trashed, but the management loved it becuase it was a guranteed sell out Friday and Saturday nights for years. So sure they had a mess, but they also made plenty of money to be able to afford to clean up after everyone.
Basically it was the audience participation that made the movie a success years after it was originally released. And it was not just klids going to it and dressing up. There were a lot of teachers and other peolpe of higher class going to it. It had attracted many different levels of people to it.
