Seems like this sort of thing happens a lot. I'm not surprised, considering "all the right buttons" are "Buy it now" and "confirm"
More and more, web sites have to be made so much more simple, because people whine about things being "confusing." I think this type of thing is pretty clear evidence that people are just lazy.
Furthermore, it's way past time for parents to realize they should be SUPERVISING THEIR CHILDREN'S INTERNET USAGE.
Yes, that's right. Be a good parent. Get involved, and know what your kids are up to. Age 3 is not too young to read, despite the 8 year olds who still can't figure it out, and the middle aged folk who still don't understand how to find their favorite book on Amazon.com

I am with Regex on this, though I do find it absolutely halarious. The parents should really keep an eye on children who are on the internet, no matter what site they are on. I will give the kid credit for being good with the internet at that age. The irony is that this three year old can navigate Ebay better than my parents. Heh...
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
I always had to enter a password to finalize a purchase on Ebay, even if I were already logged in.
I know right, Brody! I agree with Regex also. Yet, close tabs cannot be kept on children all the time. It was an accident and the child clearly didn't know any better.
Wow. I want that kid doing my Ebay for me.
Yeah, Reggie does have a point, but so does Rukia. Heckfire, how are you supposed to know what site your kid is on if you're on the other side of the house?

Thats why you should password your computer as well, Children are very at risk on the internet, no matter what age.
What do you mean, close tabs can't be kept on your kids at all times? At that age, it most certainly can. Toddlers NEED constant supervision. If you can't provide constant supervision yourself, you need to change something.

I agree with Aaron on that. My neice is 2 and a half, and if we don't watch her 100 percent all day every day, she'd probably be dead. If you don't keep watch on your kids, they will climb up to high places, they will get into things they shouldn't, they will play with a fork near an electrical outlet. ALL kids do it, and all kids should be supervised.
XD, I hate e-bay you gotta register using your credit number then log in and crap pay shiopping Xd, I guess i just dont like to spend money XD ... But hearing that was very odd/weird and funny ^^'

Honestly... I'm hearing that used as an excuse for laxed parenting all the time. In the time the kid bought the car, he could have just as easily picked up an object, tried to swallow it, choked, and died. I'd love to hear the same excuse used in that situation.Originally Posted by Regex

Everyone is so quick to blame someone or something else, rather than the parents who weren't doing their job. Who weren't watching their kid, who didn't step in and say what was right and what was wrong.
How on earth do you let your child go to eBay, log in, NAVIGATE to the cars, and purchase one. Further more, who leaves a kid alone with a computer? A three year old kid at that?
Not I, said the Ninja.
I don't trust kids around my expensive things, especially not ones with access to everything in the world. And I certainly don't let me neice play on the computer. A bad habit my father got her in to. She loves to run up and start pounding away on the keyboard, and that is a no no.
I really can't believe this... Are there parents who let their kids ( 3 year olds ) to navigate through the web? It's disastruos. There is so much harmfull bulk on the net. I remember I first got online a year or two ago.
The prove that this is wrong is that article DON SGI posted. Just imagine... your three year old kid surfing through the web, buying you a car, or seeing some harmfull sites.
These are so easy to get on..., your kid has just to click a banner, and you screwed up as a parent.
Just AWEFULL!!!
Well on Ebay you usually have to have paypal, and a kid needs to know the password to it I would think. Or else you mail the stuff yourself, which you can just choose not to and take the hit of getting a bad comment left. Seems worth it instead of getting stuck with a second hand car.

Despite the partnership between Paypal and eBay, you don't need PayPal to purchase something. It's just a payment method. When you win an eBay auction, the seller owes a percentage of the purchase price to eBay, whether the buyer paid or not.Originally Posted by Anime is poison
In this case, no negative feedback was left, as you would know if you read the article. The seller was very understanding, and simply canceled the bid, and readvertised the auction.

Well I knew there were other methods, but I pretty much got the gist of the discussion from the title. I just simply stated what I would have done and my take on it, and I guess the article thinks the same way. That just proves that I'm as great (or greater since I am the man) than the article. So BOO YAY!

Well said. I hate finding 7 year olds in AF chat, it makes me feel so bad for them. WATCH YOUR KID YO! If I had a child I know I would be so protective that I'd probably be quite smothering. But it's better than the alternative.Originally Posted by Regex

Not to sound terribly crass, but my theory is that one of the parents most likely regretted buying the car, and made up some story about the kid buying it instead to get out of the purchase.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!

It did weird me out that a tot got on the net and clicked around. And no matter how much you watch your kid it wont prevent them from accidents all the time. It was just a silly mishap. They aren't terrible parents due to their child's actions.
Holy Sh*t,I didn't think that would be possible.
