well thats the whole point if someone heard it won't people just call the police right away then you'd have to argue plus scilencers are soo easy to get around were i am.

I was talking about the whole "Kill someone, as in murder them, so no one else would hear". Besides, what the hell kind of logic is that? So you kill them and no one hears. K, good. Now you have a dead body on your hands, what do you do? Hide the body? K, now you've hidden a body, which is a felony. Now, you've gone from getting off scott free with Self Defense to cops snooping around your house and you probably get accused of murder.

While all could've been avoided if you just shot the guy, called the cops yourself, explained the situation, went in for questioning and then went home without any felonies on your record. But noooooo, we have to be cool and shoot people with a silenced handgun.

Guns in closed quarters really isn't such a wise idea. You're probably better off with an electric stun-prod thingy if you intend to ward off burglars... or a Dobermann or two.

There's still the actual problem of close quarter combat with ranged weaponry. Shotguns are better than handguns, but only to an extent.
