I lurk in the shadows.
I lurk in your dreams.
I change them to nightmares.
And I bring out your screams.



You are weak and trapped.
But you cannot fight.
You are overcome by fear,
and its terrible bite.



The worst of your life,
You seek a way out.
But I'm always here,
Without a doubt.



You cannot escape me.
You cannot hope to win.
I come in the night,
but safely within.



I lurk in the shadows.
I lurk in your dreams.
I change them to nightmares.
And I bring out your screams.


Your fear is my desire.
Your loss is my gain.
My laugh is your cry.
My rest is your pain.



Run all you like,
you have no where to hide.
I'll always be here,
deep down inside.



Your hunger is my food,
your thirst is my drink.
Your mind is my home,
and everything you think.



Go ahead and fight,
I know it must be done.
You tell yourself not to give up,
or else I will have won.



But soon you'll be,
so scared and run,
and I'll follow,
having my fun.

There are some odd spots where I got really into it, and it didnt seem to work, but then I just re-read it and it was fine!

It was a pretty cool poem I think. But....There were some phrases that didn't quite seem to fit into the rhythm of the beat from the start...But you got back in rhythm so I guess that counts. Very well discribed. Job well done.
