    Default Up the wrong side of the day...er night and getting back

    I don't know if it's just me that does this, but as soon as I have any longer vacation, the time I go to bed drifts later and later, until it's somewhere about 6-7 in the AM. Just wondering if anyone knows a good way of reverting back into your normal timezone with as little jet lag as possible.

    Last week I tried some acrobatic maneuvers of revering back: Staying up 'til 5 PM, sleeping 'til somewhere around 3 AM, and staying awake 'til 11 PM the next day, after which I resumed the usual 8-12 schedule. ... Not a thing you pull without some serious lag issues.

    So yeah, how about you (if you're the night-owl type of person that is)?

    yep! i'm a night owl type person during the summer too....i was soooo tired yesterday BUT i couldn't sleep...i stayed up 'til i think around 5 am...so you're not alone!

    Yeah I've had that problem. I usually go to sleep at 9-10 pm wake up at 4-5am, but now I go to sleep at 12-3am and wake up at 5-6am. I'm going back to school pretty soon and I'm trying to go back to my usual schedule, it's hard tho >.>

    Completely cut out the caffeine, and go to sleep early, and wake up after 6 hours of sleep. That pulls it back some in a hurry. As for jet lag, I dunno.
    Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

    I do the same thing. I would suggest not drinking as much caffiene, in addition to having some exercise or strenuous activity during the time you are awake, so your mind and body will become more tired, and need to get to sleep earlier. Also, don't drink caffiene within about five hours before you are planning on going to sleep.
