Many people feel jealous because they see somethings they really want, and they cannot obtain but others can.

Jealousy creates strong hostility, might even lead to killing; however, it also rises up our competitions, because we want to be better to obtain that stuffs.

Well, jealousy is a part of our brain's emotions. Like I said, jealousy brings us the positive sides. It makes us compete in order to get what we want.

I think jealousy is a load of crap, as with a gf or bf, why be jealous? There going to cheat on you if they want to and there isn't a damn thing you or anyone else is going to do about it, plain and simple bottom line.

Same goes if there not going to, it's up to the person. And if they cheat on you, then don't sit and cry like a baby, they obviously weren't worth a crap as a human being period and that's THEIR fault NOT yours!!!

Don't bother with the self guilt trip, don't waste your time feeling sorry about yourself and be sure as heck your not for them!!!

They were nothing, and never were or will be. Gather up what's left of yourself and march on with your life, don't let some selfish arse take one second from your life or potential and let those feelings motivate you to get over it and succeed in life, surpass them in all way's.

Well thats my feelings in a nutshell about jealousy.

For the most part jealousy in my life revolves date or know being irritated about me being a musician, they can't seem to stand that I want to be better at it all the time and get mad because I'm not on the couch watching lifetime movie network with them.

Your getting jealousy confused with either greed, envy, or ambition, I really can't tell which from what you said. Also, no jealousy is not necessary, caution and suspicion when used correctly work just find. Jealousy is too opinionated and lacks a certain objective quality, plus it's usually just paranoia. Greed is also unnecessary, ambition however can be very useful.

There are a great many who choose to learn for the sincere enjoyment of learning. There does not have to be competition in it. Likewise, improving your life is often the same way. People improve their lives so that they feel better, can provide better for their personal interests, etc. They are not seeking to be better people so they can look down at others or "win."

I am definitely sure that the things we take for granted was invented by jealousy.
Jealousy ONLY has GOOD sides and there is nothing 'bad' with jealousy. It makes us work harder to enhance ourselves and especially makes us strive even harder.

Hmm... in some ways yes. Like a lot of people mentioned earlier, jealousy can cause you to improve your performance in competitions (not always though).
However, I don't really think it's that important. I mean, we wouldn't be human if weren't jealous of someone/something at one point, but we really shouldn't pay much attention to jealousy.

Jealousy is a bad thing and also a good thing. In depends on what situation, but most of the time, jealousy is considered as a bad emotion which will start fights and stuff. In a few situations, jealousy makes things better such like the girl is jealousy when the guy she likes talks to another girl more, the guy will go back to her. But these kind of situation wouldn't happen often depending on your luck =)

This is a dumb question. It's a very unbecoming emotion that I am currently writting a fiction about. How jealousy destroys. Anway, happen to be a horribly jealous person by nature, I can't help it. I try not to let it dictate my life though. No it's not important, but it is part of who I am.

Hmm...jealousy has never helped me achieve goals. It has motivated me to feed my attachments to things that ultimately are not that important, like a relationship, material objects, money, etc. But in the larger scope of things a relationship without trust is meaningless and failed, objects break or become out of date, and money does not bring anything except the desire to continue material wealth. It's just my opinion, but I don't see that jealousy has ever been a positive influence on myself or anyone I have ever met. But as pointed out earlier by a few people, jealousy is perhaps the wrong choice of word for this post.
