Id have to go xenosaga or one of the final fantasy games, im not really sure witch one though. I have beaten most of them and im not really sure witch one took me the longest.

lol is any final fantasy game really that long? well... okay FF 11 is endless we all know that... but most of these games you can pass in like 8-10 hours if you play like nonstop with breaks in between...

but yeah the longest... let's see... probably Grand Theft Auto series...

e.g. Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, etc. where scant EXP pts. are subdivided to the party.

Animal Crossing: wild world on DS is said to take over 1 year to complete because basicly, it runs on our time and different things are always happening everyday and seasons change with ours aswell. ^^;

Neverwinter Nights. Confusing and extremely hard if I do not play with a friend or hire a bodyguard. I am still trying to finish the game but I am mostly in the senario editor now. I think that is the longest game i have ever played.

Final fantasy is the longest game i ever played.

My fastest time in Final Fantasy VII was 36 hours flat. I still have not beaten any FF game post 9 or pre 7.

When I think about it, Fantasy games take longer to complete than Sci-Fi games.

I dont know, Final Fantasy are long (no doubt about it) FFXII is taking me forever...But then again Star Ocean :Till The End of Time took me forever too...So yea, i dont know

That game is insanely long and has many side-quests, minigames, etc. etc.

Took me 5 hours to just get out of the beginning of the game.

Well the longest game I've ever played would be Asheron's Call (PC) which is an MMO, my final time I believe was above one month of actual game time... and as a technicality you could say that Asheron's Call has actually "ended" as apparently Turbine finally shut the game's servers down (I read about it recently... its been many, many years since I played... and I wouldn't go back because one day I just kinda went "what the heck have I been doing with all my time" logged out and have not found any MMO remotely interesting since... I basically realized that I was basically addicted to the game and there were many activities which could be done with my time instead of an MMO).

Diablo II (PC) also took up a good chunk of my time for a while (I have no clue how long but I would estimate probably close to the month of game time mark... especially considering I still sometimes break it out just to replay through a single player game for the fun of it... I love Diablo II). I ended up getting a couple characters up to around level 70 in the online game... but I didn't ever beat Hell difficulty... and obviously I never got any character up to level 99... so even after all the time I spent playing it you could really easily say that I never beat the game.

As far as console games (although this one is PC as well) I would have to say Oblivion (PC & 360) played about 50 hours on the PC then ended up getting a 360 and deciding to play Oblivion on 360 instead cause my computer is kinda dated, I managed to get all of the achievements and do a bunch of the extra quests in around 60 hours... it went faster cause I'd already done a bunch of stuff once before. So altogether I spend around 110 hours playing.
