The internet can be a safe place. But it can aslo be an extremely dangerous place.
Depending on what sites you go on. Haven't you ever heard yoru parents say to you
"go on appropriote sites only"? Well, there's a reason behind that you know.

I think it really depends on what you do on the internet. Even if parents put parental locks, there's still some sort of danger somehow. So....I don't think the internet is the safest place in the world, but safer than some places you'd see out in the real world.

The best thing is to be aware of who you're talking to, and what you're telling them as well as you can. Signals can get mixed up when you're reading just plain text and can't hear a voice or see a face to go along with it. What people intend for you to think when they tell you something on the net, you may not understand the same way. The same thing can apply off the net too, but it's easier to misunderstand feelings on the internet.

The internet, a safe place? All depends on who is using it and how much they know. First of all, if you are using a firewall, antivirus software, and have some sort of spyware removal, you can pretty much wander the internet with impunity. If you play it safe and don't give everyone everything they need to find you, then you're in pretty good shape. Safety is a matter of caution, 'nough said.
