Well, I haven't actually made a wall in awhile...Here's one with Sailor Moon. I don't know how I feel about the text, hmmm...Oh well. Any suggestions?

Just another Sailor Moon wallpaper
Well, I haven't actually made a wall in awhile...Here's one with Sailor Moon. I don't know how I feel about the text, hmmm...Oh well. Any suggestions?

Well, the text seems to dark and the soft edge that you gave Sailor Moon seems to be eating away at her...otherwise I like the wall...pretty much.
Poor quality image of the character (lots of artifacting, poorly cropped), uninteresting background, and the text font is terrible. This needs a lot of work.
Good start. What I suggest though, is nixing the text. I don't think it's needed. Add some texture to the grass, so it doesn't look like a boring, flat render. When making the moon, use the circle...maker..thing (don't remember it's particular name right now) then cut away from that to get a crescent shape. But definately no text.

Ok, Foxxer, what would YOU suggest for the background...since you said that the background was uninteresting. And I agree, I will need to fix the moon so it's sides are straight. I'll do this when I get back to my computer.

I'd suggest something more visually interesting. A photograph of an ocean or a beach, a photograph of a forest, even some line art of a hill. The problem right now is that the background is a vertical line with black above it and smudged green below it. I'm not even sure if the green is supposed to be grass or water.Originally Posted by ChibiChibi
I think the moon is fine in that oblong tilted uneven shape; it's more interesting this way. The only problem with the moon is that it's terribly pixellated (especially along the top point).
Just remember folks, if you post a wallpaper on here, it WILL be critiqued. If you can't take people saying negative things about your wall, then don't post it here.
Also, if you give feedback, give advice on how to make it better. "it sucks!!" is not helpful.

Well, I'm still in the process of finding a new background but for now I got rid of the text, messed with effects on the ground, and put a soft glow around the character.

Well, the person did ask us to judge what other users thought of the wallpaper she made. Anyway, my opinion on the wallpaper is...um well..it needs a lot of work. Try playing around in Photoshop and experimenting with brushes and textures and different kinds of fonts.
Ginny, if you read what the waller wrote, you'd see that he/she's not using Photoshop.
Anyway, You should use GIMP if you got that installed. (:
As for the wallpaper. You might want to lower the glow level. Too much of the glow.
The idea for the background is pretty good, but you might want to find something to replace the stars (and the moon.) Look for GIMP tutorials on how to make it if you cannot find anything. As for the grass, you should use the brush tool. Several layers with differnt colours of grass to make it look more real, 'cause the current grass looks like it comes right out of a Nintento 64 game. (:
It's a couple of hours with work, but you know, you need to spend alot of time on a good wallpaper. ^^

Its not a total disaster.. But you should pick a nicer looking picture of sailor moon. It does not look clean at all in any way shape or form.
