Avatar Help

Hi, I want to improve on my avatars. Can anyone give me any hints or maybe a site; or something like that. My avatars are really simple. I want help about positioning of picture, text, blending options etc.

Search this forum for tutorials how to make signatures. You may find those information useful to make an avatar out of it. After all the procedures are the same ^_^

Try livejournal. It's the best place for finding interesting techinques!
You can start looking here, it's a page I found awhile back with quite a few tutorials on it. At the the top of the page under 'I did not make these' are links to icon tutorial places.
