I'm a person that really doesn't have a religion; I just worry about what is going on in my life. I don't add the extra worry about what's gonna happen after I die. But I respect everyone's beliefs. I don't care if you worship an Expo marker; just don't sacrifice my cat or anything.

There seem to be a lot of Catholics running around here.
My dad is, and I was raised in that catholicism denomination of Christianity, but as I grew older, I started reading the Bible for myself, and I questioned a lot of things. I personally see it as futile for there to be so many denominations of Chrisitanity-- they all believe in Jesus as their savior, so what is the point in arguing about everything else, and how to worship?

Anyway, I became an agnostic, and then a flat out atheist. But now, I've reverted a bit. I'm a PROUD non-denominational pagan. I adhere and answer to no organized religion, and believe in my own unique way.

And personally, I wish for the fall of organized religion, because it tends to cause corruption, prejudice, and even worse, wars. Whether it be socially or in the government, it has been happening for centuries, and the abolishment of organized religion will help reduce these problems in our world, in my own opinion.

And the only way you could be a goth and it be a religion is if you follow the 16th century belief system, and even then, you'd still just be another Christian.

Oh, and I decided I wanted to clarify something.
Catholics are Christians.
Baptists too.
Souther Baptists, Lutheran, Prodistant, even Jehovah Witnesses!
They are all what we like to call "denominations" of Christianity. You could also be a non-denominational Christian, which in itself is a denomination if you think about it and hurt your brain a little.
If you believe in Jesus as your savior, you are a part of Christianity, no matter what your sub-catergory. And there are tons more than just the major ones I posted.

I just felt the need to add this because so many people act like these things are seperate. "I'm not a christian, I'm a baptist".
Are you kidding me? Are you serious? I always have believed that if you are going to claim a religion, you should at least know something about it. And we see far too many posts that seem to point at the idea that one can be a sub-category of christianity and not actually a christian. Or just that people don't know that there are christians.

I'm sure most of you knew this already, but there are a good number of people who didn't know, and who needed to be told.

I'm what they would consider 'christian' but I wouldn't really call my self that. Christians today are all about rules and being 'good' or 'bad' and they create their little clicks and only those who are in it are worthy, and churchs just want money anymore.... christianity isn't what it used to be.

I just consider myself someone who follows Jesus, I don't have a denomination, and while I do go to church, I can't say I'm really a part of it. Because I choose to live my life by God's rules and examples and follow him. I believe in God, and that he will be the one to save me, not the church, as so many christians believe today.

i agree with you 100%. the only 2 things Religions do for people is to have somethings to beleive in and make everyone fight each other over what their own belief is.

Make up your mind, or at least explain it please.

By saying you are a goth, it can mean one of three things:
1. You are part of a no longer existing German tribe that fought many battles and made war their living.
2. You are a type of building style.
3. You listen to HIM and Maryln Manson, even though MM isn't actually Gothic Rock.

Last time I checked, there was no gothic belief system around these days. Just a style of living like punk, emo, or hip hop, gangsta, etc.
XD -- I said "gangsta".

The only thing I know about a gothic set of beliefs (and I tend to keep up on religions) is the way Christians seemed to worhsip in their Architecutally Gothic churches. Those damn epic things. So huge, so scary. People whom worshipped in them were sometimes called goths back then.

But you just said you were agnostic. Which is someone whom doesn't necessarily believe or disbelieve in God, and knows that knowing the actual existance or lack there of of God or any such deity is unknowable until after death.

So which is it? I honestly want you to tell me.
