Okay, two things I probably would like to see here - how exactly did you get made staff? (I'd like to know really, curiousity mainly) and also maybe, could you also say one of the highlights of your careers on the site? i.e. something that happened to you that you just can't forget, whether it be actually being made staff, wetting your pants at a comment someone made, stopping a mass n00b spam riot, etc.

where do mods come from? can you become one? animeseishi has me thinking about this. ^^

I dunno. You become one through being a good, or in my case not-too-horrible poster. Princess Minako and Kaitou Ace determine who becomes one. I don't think we need any right now though. I got in when we were very light on the mods, and heavy on the posters. But I've been on the board off and on for 3 or 4 years. So seniority and the Admin's not thinking you suck are the major requirements.

Becoming a Mod:

First things first, a small correction, senority while can be a playing factor is not a huge thing. I know a few mods who were made mods even though they were still pretty new to the sites.
More so your attitude, your behaivour, your approach and your general overall active-ness.

If you have a poor attitude then I doubt there is a place on the team. If you don't follow rules I can pretty much say for sure there isn't place.
The way you go about asking. Like asking repeatedly (if you use the search feature the question has been answered about 100x) is bad.
And if your not active, you're no use. ^_^

I also hate it when Kaitou calls me and says, "We're ..." anything. It's typically, "We're down." ;_;

As for coming to the site ... completely by random. I was 11-years-old, and I was typing in Sailor Moon names followed by .com into IE. I eventually typed in "www.tuxedomask.com" and found my way to the original site that lead to animeforum.com. So here I am o_O;

I like the moderators, We all require authority or this place would go down the pan. They keep the peace and keep idiots from offending younger members or even older members. They break up arguments and stop pointless memory of the forums being used up, I like all of them so far, and I haven’t had a problem with any of them or crossed bad paths. They are human after all and do a good job. Going on 21 I should know better then to be bad on a forum which small children can look at, I wouldn’t want my cousins who are young and who sometimes come by this to see anything inappropriate. . Anyway good work to all of you.
