DJ KAT SHOW - name of the cartoon?

For a long time I looking for the name of cartoon that was shown on UK MTV ( or maybe some other program ) in DJ KAT SHOW. In late `80 and early `90...
All I can remember is that it was japanese cartoon and it was in bright colors. I cant remember the story or anything else except that the place is taken in some village where was elders and other folks and there was animals that were friends with those people. They are looking like ball, the animals. There were on some strange planet. The main caracter was a little boyh34r: I think...

Maybe I can remember something else but my english is poor and that will take some time...
