Poor Eddie.. he was starting to pick up his status from the Rey Mysterio events and was forming good friendship with Batista..

Atleast people cheered on him more than booed before he died.. and it was pretty much thanks to Batista for teaming up with him.

    RIP

WWE wont be the same? Do you fully realize how many wrestlers have died? And this is just a few off the top of my head.

    Bruiser Brody
stabbed to death by Jose Gonzales.

    Adrian Adonis
died when his rented minivan hit a moose while on a wrestling tour in Newfoundland, Canada.

    Dino Bravo
was gunned down gangland style in his apartment in Quebec, Canada, and has been figured as the target of an organized crime hit because of his involvement in cigarette smuggling activities in Canada. Scores of spent shells were found with Bravo's bullet-ridden corpse. He was 44.

    Louie Spicoli
took a large quantity of the drug Soma and large quantities of alcohol. Suffocated on his own vomit.

    Brian Pillman
was taking painkillers and human-growth hormones when he died from a heart attack.

    Junkyard Dog
Fell asleep while driving his car and hitting a tree.

    Ravishing Rick Rude
overdose of "mixed medications" anabolic steroids

    The Renegade
    committed suicide by shooting himself

    Owen Hart
Fell more than 50 feet to his death doing a wrestling entrance stunt

    "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig
    died of acute cocaine intoxication

    Miss Elizabeth
alcohol and a overdose of illegal drugs

    Yokozuna
    heart attack.

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith
heart attack caused by steroid cocktails and human-growth hormones.

    "Classie" Freddie Blassie
At the age of 85, died from natural causes.

    Stu Hart
died battling a lengthy illness of pneumonia.

    Road Warrior Hawk
died of a heart attack. Steroid abuse

    Pitbull #2
overdosed on homemade Oxycontin with his wife. They were found after lying in their home dead for days, while two very small children were in the house and left without food or anyone to take care of them until law enforcement officials arrived.

    Crash Hollie
    Drugs and alcohol

    Bobby Duncum Jr.
    OD'd on painkillers and alcohol.

    Eddie Gilbert
    Heart Attack Drug related

    Kerry Von Erich
Suicide. Shot himself to get out of his drug charges after being sentenced to 10 years

    David Von Erich
    Died of drug overdose

    Mike Von Erich
    Commited suicide

There are just so many. And I can list so many ore. Wrestling has the most stars die out of all sports. Why it is allowed to continue I have no clue.

No disrespect for Eddie but he abused his body with drugs for years and years. I am surprised this didnt happen 3 or 4 years sooner.

If you ever wonder what drugs can do to you, here is some very good examples:

    Wrestlers have criminal histories of:
    wife/girl friend beatings
    Child molestation charges
    Incest charges
    drug abuse
    dealing drugs
    physical law enforcement abuse
Failure to pay child support and spousal support
    DUI's
    Rape
    kidnapping
    Counterfitting & laundering money
Taking minors across state lines to hotel rooms and etc.. and etc...

Man, that really sucks. I never really liked Eddie's character that much, but his athleticism was outstanding. But when the last person asked why wrestling is still allowed, I have a few reasons behind it that you may find interesting.

    1. Because the person chooses to do it, and when wrestling is going on, no real physical harm is being done.
    2. Because just like football and baseball, it is an american past-time, and I think that more football players have died than wrestlers, when you take into account that they too use drugs plus train under very strenuous conditions, like heat for instance.
    3. Because there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.(its sad but true, if ya got money, you can't be touched)
    4. Because the company themselves do have drug tests to insure that the wrestler is drug free, and until there is a better way to determine whether someone is using drugs, wrestlers will continue to find ways around taking them.

There are other reasons, but I will stop there. I apologize for going on like that but when people say things about wrestling that they don't fully understand (although that was an impressive list of wrestlers you named there, and I'm not saying you don't know anything about wrestling, but surely you even know that those reasons are enough to keep wrestling going) then they should not start hating on it, ok, enough on that subject.

Eddie was a great guy, he volunteered his time to charities, helped his country by making donations to help the communities, and entertained america the only way he knew how. Some people are just born to be athletic, but may not have that football or baseball logic. For those who don't, there are people like Eddie, willing to sacrifice their bodies with amazing moves and stunts, that few could ever hope to accomplish. His presence on both TV, and in the world, will be sadly missed, and I'm sorry to the friends and family of Eddie for their dear loss.

    1. When wrestling is going on no physical harm is being done? What about after the matches? They are killing themselves from drug addictions and overdosing. They are beating up there wives, and girl friends because they have no control of what they do, because of the drugs. So knocking out your wife and then raping her is not causeing any physical harm? Abusing there children is ok because they do not know what there doing because they are on that many steroids? Driving drunk under the influence with levels at .28 when the legal limit was .08 is acceptable, because there going to pick up there kids and they are driving down a one way street, going the wrong way? What about all the DUI acidents they have and get out of? What about when the cops can not even subdue them becaue they are that high and screwed up on drugs that there taser guns do not even take the down?

    2. you want me to make you a list of wrestlers that died in the past 20 years other than natural deaths, to compare it to how ever many football players you can find?

    3. Your right on that one. Money does work. Hogan got out of a supena for steroids, while durring the same time period the president of the united States couldnt get out of his supena. Another good example is 2 wrestlers took a minor across the state lines to another city and both had sex with her. That scandal was also bought off with money to the parents and the city that started the prosecution. Just like the 14 year old boy sexually mollestd by the ring announcer in Canada. He also was bought out, to not speak out anymore after his story hit the news. The money he recieved from the WWF was considered back payment.

    4. No the WWE dropped there drug testing long ago. It was a big farce they put up when Hogan got out of his supena, and later McMahon was facing prison time for the steroid abuse he himself was doing. That is when the real drug testing was going on. Since then they do not have drug testing like most sports do. They do there own, and they do it like they wish to.

They need another major investigation like the last one. Or even the wrestlers that are not doing drugs and etc... to go back to the talk shows like they did then, and talk about the real stories behind the scenes with the sex scandals and drug abuse stuff that went nation wide and caught the goverments eye.

I know a lot about wrestling. I knew alot of the guys personally on that list above. And not from watching them perform, or getting there autographs. I mean spending time with them. As being allowed access into dressing rooms, spending time with them in there hotel rooms, eating with them, going to radio talk shows with them. As in really getting to know them. In my spare time, (which is very little now) I am still considered the official photagrapher for a indy promotion. I knew some of these guys and knew the real stories behind many things.

Main reason for the suicides... They are lonely and feel they have no one. Doesnt matter if there is 20,000 fans there. They do not feel close to anyone. They are on top of the world and yet they cant even be happy deep inside.

That is very sad, when I was little I use to love to watch wrestleing and I really use to look up to most of the wrestlers back then.I remember some of those wrestlers that you named off and I had no idea that they had died and most of the deaths seem so simular.I agree that they should some how show what really goes on in wrestleing,so that people can get a general idea about what really happens and maybe force wrestleing to do drug testing.

I really don't watch wrestling anymore but Eddie was around when I was younger and it just seems so weird to me that he's gone.I hate to say it but I have the felling that Eddies death maybe had something to do with drug abuse, like half of the other wrestlers.

    May he rest in peace.

That really sucks. He was really cool and hilarious to watch wrestle. Such a crafty and cool guy, its sad to know he is gone.

The man worked hard to achieve what he earned through life. He worked hard for years. While some may look down on him for his profession, I myself will always love and respect Eddie Guerrero for being a known fighter. A man that would never say die, and would always work hard to acheive his goals. Rest in Peace, Mr. Guerrero.
