Does God exist?

Okay, I've done the search and was surprised that such a question hasn't been asked yet.

Well, does God exist? Keep in mind that this is opinion and keep respect for the opinions of others.

I think He or She exists. Why? Well, thinking that all this, mankind and what not, is here by mistake or chance is a sad thought. I take comfort in the thought that God created us. Even tho I don't know this for a fact.

Also, I'm sick and tired of hearing atheists complaining and whining about how god doesn't exist. They yammer on like they know He doesn't exist for a fact. I'm also sick of hearing religious nuts going around, preaching that if you don't convert, you'll burn in hell. I don't think God is an untight A hole, which is how most Christians seem to picture Him.

It's all a matter of faith and no one will know for sure until they die.

The question is still on the table. Does God exist?

i may be chatholic, but i belive more in Buddha...it makes more sense to me. But than again i belive some principles in the chatholic faith as well. So to save myself from self inflicted confusion. I belive there is some form of God(s) but he/she/they don't need to be the God of a certain religion.

The belief/faith is master. It is what concretize your conceptions. Hence, it's not a 'belief -in- god' but a 'belief -of- god' that makes it real to you. Belief is a mean, not finality; a mean one takes to process through life while being able to define self. One is a belief; a belief of what he believes he is.

well, i believe in god hands down. i meen there is know other reason to explain how things are created. Like I know how people say the big bang theroy is what created everything, but you have to ask yourself, what created the gases and rocks to form to create the big bang. What created what? think about it for a moment. Except there is the question what created god, who knows. its all in the desing

Uh, there were no gases and rocks before big bang. Time and space didn't exist before the big bang. The universe didn't, in any sense of the word exist.

My explaination for the creation of the universe is in my journal. It is long, so i don't feel like re-typing it.

No, i do not believe god exists. I am an atheist, although I do not try to push my beliefs on other. People can believe whatever they want to believe, no matter what I think of it.

i know God is as real as my left arm. i cant see or feel him but i dont need to. my every breath is a testament to his existance. you might say im crazy but i say im blessed.

The topic of God is a kind of thing that shouldnt be discussed too terrably much....Like Abortion.

As for me, I feel like the scientific explination is safer for me to back. I mean.....i feel stupid answering the questions 'how was the world created' by saying 'a suprime being created it for no possible reason'. Science can prove that its possible for evolution and such. Untill I have tangible, expiremented, proven facts that God can exist i may change my mind.

God is simply there for the reason that we need a scapegoat. 'How was the earth created?' 'God' 'How did we survive this war?' 'God' 'How were you created?' 'God' so on, so fourth. You just need some odd answer to any question. Then there's the whole 'whats after death?' question that no one can truly answer.

In short, No. I believe there is no god.

I have read some remarkably stupid posts in this thread, and trust me you don't know who you are.

God only lives in the margins of science, an explanation to the unexplained. But as science grows the idea of god shrivels. A lot of the big questions people a few thousand years ago had have been answered. And you know what? Most of it contradicts a lot of religious beliefs. We have come a long way and we know so much more. I feel people who think god is actually real are wasting their time, imagine what you could do with all the time you could spent on religious practices? I see no reason to harsh my mellow with rigid untrue bullshit, so screw god.
