Nudity and Blood in Anime

I said 100% because, I love the bloody gorey animes ^-^ their soo much better, I'm not a hentai fan but some nudity really does make it fun to watch o.O;

if you watch the english version of naruto without the blood flying out it looks so much worse><

that and shows like elfen lied and ikki tousen would be alot worse without the much needed bloody violence and nudity, when a show has both what more can you ask for

I do agree, there are plenty of ways to tastefully leave such things in, but it is very easy to get the same feelings, thoughts, and messages across without the excessive nudity and/or blood. I'm not against it, by any means. But if it's in there, I can't stand when it's gratuitous.

It would definitely make the show better I love blood in a show and nudity is fine as long as it's not hentai.

I voted on 50 % cause it's just 50% I don't really don't mind blood and nudity , I even like it!! but I don't say it has to make an Anime better.. so it just depends more on what way it's used.. like hentai.. I never say hentai Anime but I don't have to.. but nudity I don't mind and thriller/ horror. are my favourite genres anyways.. so blood is part of it , most of the time ^___^ I'm just nuteral

well when you have anime where people are fighting with really big swords, yeah, your gonna have blood. And as for nudity, ehhhhh, i dont mind revealing outfits.

It only makes a show better if it goes along with the storyline. If a show has a whole bunch of blood/gore and nudity for no reason, it gets lame after a while.

If it goes along with the story, I'm all for it.

YAY BLOOD the more blood the better i think this cuz i lov samurai manga and a samurai manga isnt fun 2 read without blood so thats y i dont like the samurai anime where the guy doesnt kill anyone it seems really boring -_-''' * im a girl should i be worried that i like gorey animes O.O?* anyway for the nude thing well as long as it doesnt go 2 far i guess its ok then .

50% As the amount of nudity and blood an anime contains does not guage how good the anime is. As Tsuna stated it must also have the story and plot to go with, excessive blood and nudity will only ruin what could be a potentially good anime.

Gore is good for samurai/fighter anime
Nudity........... It good for shows like Love Hina
Unlike 4Kids that dubbs out everything close to the two..................
If you guys want gory/nude anime just go to a reliable DVD retailer and buy UNCUT anime

I'm not so keen on the nudity part, it can't be helped though. Blood on the other hand is fine with me, it furthers on how much more real it is. I own lots of anime movies that have blood in them and part of those movies have mild nudity. c.c They were all good so i'm not complain'.

Blood is awesome...........u gotta have it. As for nudity, a bit is fine as long as it doesn't hit the border of hentai.

Honestly, I don't think that blood and nudity really affect the actual quality of an anime that much. Sometimes, either of these elements are just used as a gimmick to mask the potential faults of some anime.

All that it really boils down to is what the general tone of the series is. An anime like Azumanga Daioh is perfectly fine the way that it is, with or without either blood or nudity. In fact, I would actually hold it in low regard, if either element were used, because they are just not suited for such a series.

Now, a series like Berserk, which revolves rather heavily around swordplay and the darker aspects of history, simply would not have the same hard-boiled effect without the presence of the gorier scenes it has.

I feel that I should note that I like good amounts of gore myself, but nudity really isn't neccessary (I'm totally on board with getting teased, though...)

I totally agree. It really depends on the anime. Something like Dragonball uis just better when it has the blood and gore. It's just not realistic wehen you get your arm cut off to not have blood coming out of it.
