How/when did you first become interested in anime?

My best friend became obsessive, so the only thing i could talk to her was about anime, but i soon foun out i actually like the stuff ^^

Pokemon ._.; i used to know all 150 pokemon and had about $500 worth of cards. I even had one of those pokedex thingies. I still like to play the gameboy games, but the show is like one big soap-opera. Then i found the pleasures of Adult Swim on cartoon network. How I love that show!
Now i have about five anime DVDs (im poor....>.< to me, thats alot) and about ten mangas. Anime rules.
I also kinda got hooked off of rp sites. Theyre almost always anime, so i started to watch them to figure out whats so great, but now thats all i can talk about!

Sailor Moon...then pokemon...I just loved it soooooo mcuh XD but I didn't know that it was anime back then, cuz I was very small ('bout 6 years...) and it was mu bro who made me start to read manga ^^

my friend told me to watch Sailor Moon and then I just got REALLY into it and here I am, I've watched too many animes and read too many mangas to count so I think I've really progresses since 2nd grade!!!!

14 years ago, when i was 2 years old (im 16 now). i use to watch speed-racer re-runs and Dragon Ball when it first aired in America. when i was 5 i saw Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 for the first time(i have seen it several times since)....hmm....well, i've seen more anime than i could ever name(i've tried but couldn't remember the names of them all)....

I watched anime in the 80s without realizing it was "anime" I was just lump together in my young mind as "cartoons". i think it was 1994 (I was in 7th grade) I started watching Sailormoon which lead to getting bootleg tapes from Chinetown of Sailormoon in Japanese.

How: Iv loved anime since birth.
A full 14 years.
I grew up around my all my sisters anime, anime posters, anime t-shirts, movies, and manga.
So naturally thats why i love it.

uh...I dont know when I really started be fond of anime but I do remeber that I was fund of a anime serie called the soultaker and that I am really fond of it still. and I am now even fond of many other anime serie's as well...so you can call me obsessed over anime.

Chronologically?

i vaguely remember watching speed racer oh so many years ago (im 18... and it was probly around the age of 3-4...)...

a few years later, dragon ball started to air on YTV (canada doesnt get much anime btw...)...

a tiem passed without anime... pokemon came out... and 3/4 of my elementary school was obsessive about that show... dbz came out... OMG! the violence! we thought... just then, an anime better than i ever could've fathomed (at the time anyway) came out... escaflowne! from the first battle scene, i was hooked!

awhile passed... nothing... i had nothing but episodes of dragonball Z that i had known the plot for a long time (i read the mangas) to quench my thirst...

about 2 years ago, animes started pouring into north america... all of a sudden i had witch hunter robin! and then my bro brought back Episodes of all sorts of animes home from his schools anime club... heavenly!

and now... with my high speed connection, i am blessed with hundreds of gigs of anime just waiting for me to dl and read every delectible fan-sub!
