Actually, that's not entirely accurate. If the pressure inside the earth is so intense that it can solidify molten nickel, surely the apple would be crushed before it reached the center. That is, if it weren't vaporized before that.

As to where black holes lead, they don't lead anywhere. A black hole is simply an ultramassive singularity that is so small it lacks the normal three dimensions of space. If a singularity has only one dimension, how can it have a size? If it does not have a size, how can it make a hole it the fabric of space/time? If it cannot make a hole, then how can it lead anywhere?

No, their intense gravity is so strong that everything within the event horizon is collapsed into a single point (a singularity). It will destroy everything that gets into it's gravitational field. That's what black holes do.

Looking back, I realise I really made a mess of how I phrased that question. And yes, your answer is correct. Singularities do indeed spew out radiation as a biproduct of all that matter consumption.

Next question... this is just a rhetorical question to get you cogitating, it doesn't need an answer. Comments would be appreciated, however:
