Would you rather be rich and lonely? or poor and happy?

Well of course i'd rather be poor and happy cos i think happiness is priceless.

To me, money can only buy wut i wanted, but alot of rich kids are always lonely, they dun get to communicate with their parents as they are making money for 24 hrs out there, poor pplz has the happiness in their hearts.

I am poor but not happy so uhhh......I don't know. I seriously am poor too! I'm homeless (I live with random friends) but I guess I would like to be happy as well as poor!

Happiness can be bought. But it is at a expensive price and naturally it only lasts as long as you have the money to buy the "type of happiness" you think you need. Basically happiness should have nothing to do with money.

Life is what you make out of it. Happiness is what you make out of it. You can have money, and be just as happy as a person who doenst have as much money and have the exact same likes and dislikes.

It is how you handle it. I personally have no respect for money. There is always more money tomorrow, or the day after if you truly need or want to earn it. So money does not, nor will it ever rule my life or change my happiness values.

I'm fairly sure a rich man would be able to make tons of friends and have just as much fun, if not more as he can easily fund his fun, than someone poor.

So I guess that'd be what we call "Poorman's console" in Norwegian. The "Happy and poor" part, that is.

Being poor and happy is impossible to me. While I do not let money rule my life, I must have it to be happy. Having a decent amount of money is a comfort-factor for me; without that money, I would be very unhappy.

So rich and unhappy. You can buy happiness, but as Beany said, it comes at a high price.

If I'm truly happy, I wouldn't care about being poor, so I suppose, heh, poor and happy.

Though at the moment I suppose I'm (relatively, of course: I have a enough resources to access a computer and the internet, so I can't be that badly off) poor and unhappy, so that may just be a progressive view.

I'd want to be poor and happy, because I don't want to be lonely. Being lonely would suck... you'd have no one... like... how can you ever be happy if you're lonely? And if you're not happy, what kind of life are you living?

hapiness is much better than sadness.lets say u have 1000000$ and u live alone wont that be boring? then being poor with lots of people around to exchange ideas and rp etc.

I'll just speak out of cynicism, and say that if you are rich, people will come requesting your "friendship" regardless of whether or not you deserve it. That is a fact of life, the more money that you possess, the more people you have who claim to care about you. Of course, we all know that these people are ****ing leeches who just want a cut from your wallet. Movie stars are an EXCELLENT example of such rich people.

Conversely, if you are poor, there are far fewer people who care about you, or even give a damn about whether or not you live or die, since they get nothing material-wise out of helping the poor.

Wonderful world we live in, isn't it?

Now that I've said my piece, I'll say I dont care about being rich, as long I have enough to get by. Of course, I'd much prefer friends to loneliness as well...
