Hello everyone, I just wanted to share some pictures of martial arts of South Asia (India). Here are some websites that show few other forms of martial arts still surviving in this South Asian (India) country . The reason I said "still surviving" is because when the British ruled India, they very much suppressed the martial art forms and swordfighting techniques.

One form of staff fighting: This website has several videos that show some very basic techniques. When I said basic, I really mean extremwly basic. Please note, this form is not the same as Swarga Chakra staff fighting form. Check out especially the video on "Predefined sequences" .

Another form of martial art practiced in Madurai, it is place where I come from. It is well known because there lots of really ancient shrines and temples, which attract lot of visitors.

This picture shows some young Indian girls fighting with swords, they look so cute. Look at the outfits, Indian female warriors usually wear those type of clothings, don't they look cool? I have to say, the girls look very cute and beautiful in Madurai.

It is very sad because this form has be prohibited by the British. But the warriors, swordsmen, and kings used this form to protect themselves and the people around from the British. Want to know more, please let me know?

im master (for myself) hahaha the art of fist and most importantly kicking
taekwondo is kicking with style and agility hahaha no one is match for my kicks.

well i didn't say im the best in the world :P, im good on my style and your right there are people who better then me in their style but in my style i can do better E.G. im good at chopkick and roundhouse kick and push kick no one can dodge those and for counter attacks my turnback kick is unavoidable and my jump roundhouse kick good for headshot, but if someone is good at spining kick he will get me if im careless(which most of the time i am), but everyone have their own style, everyone is unique.

Another pic from my Gurukul (similar to a Dojo) in Madurai, look at the outfits of the South Asian (Indians) Female warriors. Again, they represent the colors in the flag of India. Same as the colors of outfits of Talim from SC2.

The following pics is based on a dance performed both in Madurai and in Manipur (both South Asian (Indian) districts). Notice the color of the outfits, again, the Indian female dancers incorporate the colors of flasg of India.

This form is very famous and practiced by master's grand daughter (her name is Mayura Gouri) in Madurai. You can see her in this picture http://manipur.nic.in/images/thangta.gif, she is the one in the top right hand corner. Let me know what you think.

Listen to this: One time, Haruki (he is my Japanese friend in Madurai)got caught watching Master Surya's grand daughter, whose name was Gouri (you can see her in this picture http://manipur.nic.in/images/thangta.gif, she is the one at the top right hand corner). She is a really cute Indian (South Asian) Girl. So, my master made him carry ten bucket of water from the river and three huge rice bags from the rice depot to the Gurukul for not concentrating. When I said three bags of rice, those are not at all small. There are very huge, one has to use a trolly to carry those bags. The trolly is not electric, you have to hold on to the handles and pull. BTW, the road is also uphill. So, you see, it wasn't an easy task. Never mind the task, being punished in front of a cute girl like Ms.Gouri is extremely embarrassing. You should have seen the sight, I was laughing all the time. Unfortunately, for laughing a lot, my master got mad and made me do the same. I was so embarrassed because Ms.Gouri was watching me. Occasionally, we (me and Haruki) both kind of fight because we argue that Master Surya's grand daughter likes one of us, more. He is just a little dofus. It used to be very fun in Madurai, I really miss that place. Then again, I am making lots of new friends in US, that makes me really happy . You guys are truly awesome. Thank you .
