FF:TA is alright... I think Ogre Battle was ported to GBA. Ogre Battle is awesome.
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories is a good Rpg game. That's just my opinion though.

Probably more than you know mate. For one, it's needed at the moment if you want to play any original Gameboy games you own, as the Nintendo DS only has GBA compatibility. I personaly still have my GBA:SP on the shelf ready to be used at some point.Originally Posted by anime911
As for an RPG for the GBA....I say....Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (it's actualy good despite the gameplay), Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance, and if it counts, Fire Emblem....I say if it counts as there are some RPG elements in it.
The Tao of Rayne - Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...if that fails, try something in the dairy variety.
People with taste perhaps? The game boy advance is an awesome system and one of the top sellers of all time even beating out the ps2. So It's understandable why people still own them. I plan on buying the micro when it drops in price as well.Originally Posted by anime911

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is the best without any doubt. It's even better than Final Fantasy Tactics on Playsation. Very interestng plot, gameplay, the system of editing character. Well I recommend this wonderful and kind game to everyone who likes RPG and especially Final Fantasy series.
Enlighten me please mate....no idea what you're talking about.Originally Posted by Member Name

There is a cable for connecting the GBA into a controller port. A few games use that, some more than others. The most famous is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals.. There's also Zelda: Windwaker and a few others.Originally Posted by Storm Strife

Eh, I guess everything that's been said is good. I never really used the GBA for RPGs. Mostly I was too busy with Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. Yeah, go buy the newest Fire Emblem.

Ff:ta!!!
There is no thought of the day, because today there is no thought!!!!!
I bought ff:ta the other day and I have to say, I don't know why I never got it before. I've played most of the other final fantasies and I liked them all, and this is no different, so thanks to the people who suggested it. I played most of the other rpgs people have been talking about too golden sun is one of my favorites, but I never played fire emblem yet. And i just bought a ds also, which rocks by the way, but I still think the gba is awsome to even though I can just play the gba games in the ds now.
There are people who actually like FF Tactics Advance?
To me, the game was one of the most horrible RPG's I have ever played. The story was too short to be even called a proper RPG, and storyline itself was as flat as a cardboard, probably the worst I have ever seen. The battle system was interesting, but after a few hours of playing, I had very little motivation to continue.
Personally, I loved Golden Sun and Fire Emblem. Even though I think they could have put both Golden Sun games in one huge game, I really enjoyed the story, it made me hunger to travel around, look in every nook and crany to see if I could find more about the world, or the ocasional lost Djinni.
Fire Emblem has a very interesting element in the game: You lose your character, you lose him forever. This made me tripple think my every move and even had me reset my GBA on multiple ocasions because I made a stupid move and lost a character I had grown fond of. Unlike FF: TA, where everyone could serve as cannon fodder, using my characters to draw out the enemy was a step I had to plan out veeery carefully.

The fire emblem games are pretty tight RPG's.. but also one of the most annoying one's I've ever played.
You have to like the TRPG Genre. TRPGs are essentially giant math simulators that persons like myself will play for 100 or so hours just to figure out the best teams. I'm not even that Extreme a TRPGer. I think I got my characters around level 50 of 100 in FFTA in 100 hours. Some people play them WAY too much, like those folks who have lv9999 characters in Phantom Brave (The game can be easily beat at level 100, I think my greatest character is lv700 or so).Originally Posted by red storm
Anyway, FFTA is a pretty good example of a TRPG. Likely the best for GBA. The whole law system adds a lot of depth, and the class system is interesting. The job system was also a lot better then in FFT.
