I just wanted to begin this thread as I want to see if anyone of you have read any good books lately, and I don't mean manga books, I'm looking for interesting novels, or any kind of book you would like to recommend to all the people in the AF.I just have read a pair of books and I would like to read more ^^* I would appreciate it hehe! You can also use this thread to recommend or tell all ppl what book you like most!

I'm currently reading Joanne Bertin's The Last Dragonlord. I've read the second one in the series before, but untill recently I haven't been able to find the first one.

If you like science non-fiction, Read a book called Flight of the Iguana(not Night of the Iguana). It is so deep. It's a sidelong view of science and nature.

I read all these recently A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odysey, The Pianoplayers, The Queen's Gambit and I just started Uncle Tom's cabin.

I really enjoyed the Daughter of the Empire by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts, as well as the Riftwar Saga. The His Dark Materials trilogy is fabulous and Pride and Prejudice is really good once you get past the romance and think about the issues that are being presented (unless, of course, romance is your thing. In that case not so much thinking will be required to enjoy it).

Woah thanks guys for answering ^_^! I didn¡t know there was another thread about books, sorry!
I would highly recommend Memories of Idhun to those who know Spanish I would check it out if it's in English,I'm not sure! But it's a great book, it has mithology, magic, fantasy, love, action but not humour, but it's the best book I ever read in my entire life!
And I'm reading The Guardian now from Nicholas Sparks and it's pretty interesting!

Anthem by Ayn Rand is my all-time favourite book. I suggest it to anyone and everyone. Though it may be a bit confusing for you. o_o;

Also, The Handmaid's tale, by Margaret Atwood is good. Excellent, actually. Though it's a little provacative. (The story mostly deals with the womens new role in the world; producer. Basically, if you have a uterus that works, you're promised to live until it doesn't anymore. Also another confusing book.)

Angels on Fire by Nancy Collins is good (It has a sex scene, but nothing major. 15+ age group, I'd say.) Uhm.. Surfacing by Margaret Atwood.

That's about it. Actually, I'd say all those books are 15+ age group. Maybe fourteen, I don't know. Fourteen year olds can't grasp the concept of some of those. But yeah- Those are my best. I <3 them. Go to your library! >_>;

Oh~ As for Memoirs of a Geisha, I like that book very much. It's not one of my favourites, but if you enjoy rough-history, it's good. Kind of a brutal story on a young mind, though.

Found another book that I like, Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson. Haven't actually finished it yet but it's been good so far. It's semi-historical and it has swords and guns and evil uncles and stuff.

i read all the halo books LOL kinda sad really, but the one im reading is seer king its called its pretty good actually, its a sicence ficition i recomned it i like it anyway, and im gonna read a book called spartans soon aswell

I think the Harry Potter books are quite good.
But so is the lord of the rings!
