That happens to me all the time. I think it's mainly a japanese thing, and my grandmother is japanese, so that kinda explains it.

Kinda hard to live with when there are almost nothing but girls at my school.. But I get by.. Just gotta keep a stock of paper to stop the bleading.

I imagine if your nose was really dry from breathing alot, and you see a naked girl cause your body to heat and warm your nose up....it miiiight cause a open sore, ive gotten nose bleeds for no reason, one thing that does happen though is your glasses fog up.....it happened to me >.< i was so embarrased XD
