PSP mod for Japanese only?

A new PSP mod? They just don't end. But this one is meant for Japanese PSPs only?

We did some resaerch about this and it when we read about the mod it said 'Use only with Japanese PSPs.' Is it going to fry american made PSPs or are the Japanese trying to keep all the goodies for themselves? We uploaded it onto an american PSP and found few problems. Seems to us that we were being played. We think the Japanese either had a major problem with it on a prototype american PSP or they want all the good mods for themselves.

Whats everyon else think? Has anyone alse heard about this? Tell me some opinions.

It's an upgrade that changes the the way the equipment works.

For example: There was HUGE contreversy over the GTA hot coffee mod. Rockstar faced a 2 million dollar fine for not submitting the content to the ESRB. And now the pc version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has an AO rating. (Adults Only) And it has the government is talking about ending the video game industry.

Oh, the hot coffee mod was something that let you see your main character have you know what with the girlfriends you can take out in the game. It was found by one person.

No, a mod is short for modification, which changes the hardware around to do a certain action. Most popular mods these days are as follows: Mod chips inside of playstation 2's to play japanese games (Some can translate the text into english), Xbox mods to download games onto the Xbox through Xbox live, Remove the pixel's from...certain areas on Xbox and DOA Beach volleyball to make the characters..well, yeah you know.

This PSP mod is just because American made PSP's were made too quick, and the japanese PSP's were made more thurough. There's not a whole lot more to say.

actually theres no really on definition for mods...in xbox live.Theres a huge problem going on with moding in halo 2.Letting people super jump to the top of the vl...mods are glitches some times and also used for cheating...so there not on deffinition for a mod...

ooook i actually understood what Krsnik said more than others....so this modifaction chip for psp is only compatable with the more thought out japanese version.

what did the MOD do in the first place? and it could be that there working on the american version of the MOD now and we don't have it yet, but if we don't ever get all the mods or good games that'll suck so much..i'm waiting for a version upgrade that'll allow a background picture for the PSP instead of the one that it comes with

The PSP mod did work with the us's PSP system only with a few drawbacks that can be worked around.

This was a topic in the video game world when it was first found out that the mod was told only to be used with Japanese made PSPs.

Several americans are now doubting sony and has hundreds of quetsions.

Since the PSP has lots of hardware in it, it's no suprise that certain mods would be restricted from a certain type. But it was restricted on all US made PSPs. Or the S2V PSP. The few problems were slower accessing on the internet and would slow down down or corrupt some mp3 files that may have been on the PSP. Either way, it still works and is a strong example of greedyness in the Japanese gaming market. For those who think so anyway.
I didn't have many suspisiouns until we learned about this.

Because this is a small device, the mods are much different then those on the PS2s or the Xbox. It takes much more complication then those of the Xbox.

And the DOAX mod was more a cheat than a mod. The content was already on the disc but needed some uncovering.

And mods are not glitches. A glitch is something wrong with the physics of a game. A mod is a change of the games reception device. Most mods are dangerous unless they are advised by the creators of the game. Some people think it's ok to mod on their own but it's not. You need skill and a good knowledge of computers to use it wisely and safely. Sometimes game discs can be ruined and you may not know why. You don't see any scratches or marks. It might be because you used some mod that wasn't compatible for the game.

Some people know them as hackers. They can rewrite data in the game's programing and change content. But that's usualy how a game gets ruined.

This new PSP mod was even created by Sony and is meant to be safe with the PSP. However they are saying that it will cause extensive damage to the american PSP and should not be used with it. We used it and only found a few minor issues with it. We are a little suprised at Sony!

'We' are a small group that looks at new things to the web and other technologies. Video Games are a part too but a very small one. We've looked at Microsoft's newest windows project and we looked at what the new Mac is going to be like.

The mod was a riff of a file transfer engine. If you had pictures on your PC you could put them in your PSP. Or if you had some files on the internet you can put them on your PSP.

but i'm albe to put pictures from my computer onto my PSP now..it was one of the first things i did. i did find that not every picture worked on it but a great deal went on easily..till i went away for a week and someone screwed up my comp and now barely anything will transfer to the PSP but it works on other comps

The mod was meant for high quality pictures. Like things in Jasc. The file transferer would put up certain files and protection to keep them from gettin corrupted or lost during the transfer

The originol files that could be put on the PSP were pics like .gif or .jpg

this mod allows things like .art and .nrg (very rare)

Some of our moles have found some upgrades for the PSP that makes everything a whole lot easier for file transfer. Unfortunately they tend to cost money. Good bits of it too.

The mod (depending on where you get it) should be free. Some people will make you pay before you are allowed to use it.

Yes the S2V PSP wasnt compatible with internet wallpapers. So upgrades and hacks were made to make it but it caused some problems. Sometimes its completely unaffected and sometimes it messes up your PSP like a melting marshmellow. Bad example i know but we still were able to get the same thing happen on v2 USA form PSPs.

Several other mods and pgrades have been made to protect image transfer from a PC to the playstation portable hardrive

north americans can get PSP up to 2.0 now
it allows more image types to work, transfering of images to other PSP, more movies and music options, a wallpaper setting, and even an internet browser

It's sad because only two people know what the hell a mod IS. Sen, you realize there IS an edit button, correct?

And concerning DOAX - it wasn't more or less a cheat, there was and actual chip you had to put in the Xbox for it to work properly, and render properly. It could have been done without it, but it wouldn't render correctly, and could REALLY mess up your Xbox.

Anyways, the PSP has some....troubles with the making and modeling of it. There's a lot of extrenious (Spelling?) parts that really don't do a whole lot. It was released WAY too early in the U.S, they needed to work out a few bugs first.

i'm not sure...if it dosn't come out here you could try downloading a copy and saving it under the games file in PSP that might work
they have simualtors for almost every system for the PSP..but most of them only work on the 1.0 right now
