There is no Japanese "Cu". There is a "Ch", "Cha", "Chi", "Chu", "Che", and "Cho". This would mean that a "Ku" was used. It was meant to be "Fooly Cooly", but in Japanese, there is no "L". But the Japanese pronounciation of "R" is similar to the English "L". As such, it was "Furi Kuri".
