Default I need info (long shot)

A while back (around 1996-8), on late night TV, there were commercials on TV for an anime collection. It was very dark style anime, I recall a few images from Akira, and one shot of a guy doing an iron cross dive off of a skyscraper. This was still durring the days of Saturday anime on Sci-fi channel. Any info would be appreciated.

usually on the sci-fi channel or Cartoon network and their affiliates. The guy was a thin sketch type 80's style, and seemed to be partially covered in a rainbow material. It almsot looked like Ghost in the Shell, but it wasn't.

    Try this too:

I doubt its going to be related to Cartoon Network since you said it was with Akira.

    DUUUUUUUUUUUDE! You are the man!

What's funny though is that you didn't guide me toward the answer to the question i posted. Instead you led me striaght to the answer to a questiont aht's been lingering over my head for 10 years. On Saturday Anime on Sci-Fi, way way way back when, they showed a Movie that was so horrific it made me question the purity of my soul. I had one scene to go by, a cat getting ripped apart and a guy and girl shrieking in terror. Lily C.A.T. Holy crap, what a weight off my mind. So thanks man.

Also, what i was inquiring about was a commercial for an anime collectors set of VHS tapes. I figure someone out there has to have it.

Also, Cartoon Network very breifly showed Saturday Anime style Anime in mid 1995 at midnight on a Saturday night, called either Japanimation Station or Saturday Japanime, and used a scene from Starlight Angel from Robot Carnival at the end of the advertisement. It's where I got my second glimpse of real anime (the first being Grimm's Fairy Tales on Nickelodeon).
