who here liks stargate

Alright, this must be the 'stargate' thats on the sci-fi channel way to much.
I didnt like the two episodes that I watched, yes only two. BUT if someone who I think has good taste tells me that its good, i'll throw my premature opinion in the trash and give it another shot.

But I did like that stargate movie that came out way back when. I remember there was even a game for it that I had (didnt really care for it)

question: Was that movie based of the series? Are they related?

To be fair, it's a lot like Battlestar Galactica in the way that it can be difficult to come in the middle of the series sometimes.

The series is based on the movie. The series began a year after the movie, with the Stargate in Cheyenne Mountain opening up, and a Goa'uld and his guards coming in and abducting a female Airman. From that point on, it turns into the Stargate program being formed to search out technology that could aid the Earth in protecting themselves. (Daniel Jackson and Colonel O'Neil are in the series, but played by much better actors. Say what you will about Kurt Russell, Richard Dean Anderson is better. And ultimately, they play it off almost as if Russell's O'Neil and Anderson's O'Neill are different characters completely.)

I used to be obsessed with Stargate!!! I went out and bought the first two seasons becuz of it. I'm still sorta obsessed with it...

I love Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, they are both great series. I can't believe that the SciFi channel is canceling SG1 it just doesn't make any sense, if anything they should stop showing wrestling since has nothing to do with Sci-Fi.

Stargate SG1 was better than Atlantis, in my opinion. They both are good, though. I think the older episodes of SG1 were better, the ones without a storyline. Window of Opportunity was my favorite episode. Too many jokes for my own good.

Window of Opportunity was good, what was Daniel thinking when he told Jack and Teal'c they could do what ever they want? As for Atlantis, well it has potential to be a very good show. First they cancel production of Stargate: Alliances and now SG1...

eh i just started the first season. ive been through abotu half and so far its been kinda dull. but my friends say it will get better.

I love Stargate SG-1. I think my favorite character in that series is Colonel O'Neil because he's so funny, but an awesome guy.
