Okay, this is what I've gotten so far making my first wallpaper. Any and all advice is definately appreciated ^_^

neat idea! there are a few things I would clean up. First, the character image has some extraction issues. Also, I would finish drawing the hand down to the bottom of the wall, since many don't have a task bar.

Okay, what exactly needs to be cleaned up on Haruko? I'll make sure to make another one for people who don't use start menus, since that's how I'll set my PC up once I get it running agian ^_^

Huzzah! I've fixed some of the mentioned problems!

Okay, first I extended Noata's hand for all you non-task bar users. Next, I fixed the extraction issues on Haruko's guitar. I moved the photo a little lower so it looked like it fit between his thumb and fingers better. Next, and tell me what you think of it, I added a custom gradiant layer for the photo glossy effect.

Please tell me if you can find any more problems with it ^_^

I really can't see any comparing it to the source...could you please describe it or just quickly cirlce the problem area in something like paint? Is there anything else you can see from it?

I think I've decided to leave this where it's at as a first try. The main problems I had with it was that the background in the photo was extremely low res, so was Haruko, and I was stuck using my father's trackball due to my PC being crippled (three bad motherboards, two took PSU's with them). I might try making another one later now that I can upscale DVDs fairly well to help fight the extraction issues. Currently though I'm in the process of making a DS skin for FLCL which has taken up a lot of time (I keep on revising it over and over, already have ten solid hours of work in on it). I may post it later in some other part of the forums for all to see...

Anyway, thanks for the comments. If nothing else they tell me what to watch for next time ^_-
