Katamari and its now Official Rarity
Recently, Namco pulled all of the copies of Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari, and Me and My Katamari off of store shelves and out of storage rooms and destroyed most of them, making it a rare game. Personally, i think its great, but thats only because i have a copy of all three....what do you guys think, was it a good move? or was it just completely stupid and pointless?

Looks like Best Buy still thinks they are selling it, online and in stores..
I haven't seen anywhere saying that it's been discontinued, or destroyed or anything.

Maybe i should refraise, Namco is PLANNING to do so, and from my gathered info, they already have in Japan.
I don't see why they'd want to get rid of such a great game, since it is such a great seller. That's like shooting yourself in the foot or something.
Remember, for every interesting or cool sig you read, there are at least 10 boring sigs that make you hate reading sigs.
Have something different, then.
Personally I don't like it, but it has become a huge hit. Why would they all the sudden pull the game when everyone loves it? It's not even controversial.

Assuming this IS true, they probably did it because they knew the katamari games werent going anywhere so they wanted people to go out and really scramble to get them because they're now 'rare'. I don't think I believe it though, sounds like a silly rumor.
Yeah... I'm gonna need a link before I'll believe this one.

I didnt read this info online, actually i got it from a magazine that my bro read, i believe it was called Gameing News, and i am sorry, i must once again refraise as i read it wrong, it is seemed to believe that Namco may take a step at making Katamari a rarity, sorry everybody my mistake
