I DONT HAVE ANY STOLEN WALLPAPERS I swear!!!!!!!!!
SASSUKE is SOO HOT
hes mine no 1 touch him
WANT TO BE FRIENDS? PM ME!!!!!! I nEED FRIENDS
Call me old fashion, but I don't think there is much "stealing" involved with claiming ownership to wallpapers that are made from someone else's work.
For example, I run a website called http://www.screen-ware.com, and from there anyone can download free screensavers for, say, Vincent Van Gogh artwork. If someone else posted my screensaver on their site, I would not call them a thief. If anything, I'm stealing from Van Gogh himself, right?
Honestly, if there are great artists out there that are perfectly willing to let the masses of people make wallpapers out of their hard work and claim them as their own by putting some sparkly text over their art, then those same people should not get bent out of shape over other sites using their material.![]()
Not really as important considering Van Gogh is dead and wouldn't (can't) care at all. On the other hand, real living people who worked on the stuff can reasonably be angry at people trying to claim credit over something they made (very important detail here).
Also, Van Gogh is very popular. Most people can recognize his work and know that he made it regardless of where it is found. We're talking about ordinary people whom very few know of (unless they're famous artists) so they wouldn't know if the credit is given to the right or wrong person.
this thread is pointless. the internet has no boundaries, anything can happen.
the funniest thing ive ever seen in my life is probably your face.
Not true, people who make wallpapers have intellectual property rights over art work they create. If someone used Saturn Car Parts in their artwork, doesn't mean that the art is free trade and the only person it belongs to is Saturn.

If you actually read some of the copyright laws, then you will actually know what is protected by copyright and what isn't.Originally Posted by http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#protect
Yes, those characters are copyrighted, however they are not subject to becoming ultimately protected by anything and everything in the world.
People who do fan art, are those works copyrighted? No. Do you know why? Because despite what DeviantArt says, or wherever they post their works, they do not have legal papers to prove that those works are theirs.
The people who made these anime characters may have proof that they are indeed copyright but the ONLY time we would be in violation of copyright is if we were to sell the wallpapers containing these characters.
Please do some research before displaying your flurry of so called copyright knowledge.

INSPIRED BY ANIME!
Mostly Fruit Basket =D
While I personally don't rebrand or remove branding, I do see it happening.
In light of that I'd like to do a pre-emptive strike for my site.
Seti's World:
I did not draw or lay claim to any of the artwork at AnimeAppeal.com. If you see something that belongs to you and you can prove ownership, drop me a line and I'll take it down.
I'm easy to get along with...
But I did add the captions and satirical rhetoric.
Artwork:
I did not draw or lay claim to any of the artwork show on AnimeAppeal.
If you see something that belongs to you and you can prove ownership, drop me a line and I'll remove it.

I get all of the artwork I post from that one place that is nothing but folder after folder of artwork. Some of ya'll should reconize that discription of that place. It's like a clearing house. But if any of it has a branding on it, it stays just like I found it.
I consider it free advertising of a sort and don't have a problem with it.
BUT for the record I only ADD my branding when I add a caption to a picture like I do in Seti's World. Any other captions, forum name, and artist's nane remain intact just as it was to start with. My captions are obvious and my branding only reflect what I did.
For the record I am 56 years old and so laid back if I was any more laid back I'd be in a coma. So let's work together. If you see something at my site that you can prove is yours and you want it taken down, sign up and sent me a PM.
Please police your own site and if you see something with our branding on it, we formally request that you check with us to make sure that the artist is in agreement of it being used on your site. That should be a good working relationship. Otherwise I do see you showing up in the thread of shame. Thank you.

As you wish M'lady.
So is this just for wallpaper theft and not image theft in general? And should it be confined to AW.com/people submitting things here? I read your post and I'm not quite certain. If it's just general theft I could go on for hours
I had a thought...it's not entirely unthinkable to say that the people who submit wallpapers to animewallpapers might also make separate versions for other sites they visit.
In any case I've seen a few examples of animewallpapers content on www.deviantart.com. Although because of the nature of that site I'd think it coincides with my earlier allegation...
I think http://wallpapers.desktopcity.com/Anime/ this website fulfil your needs. you can submit your wallpaper in this website with your name.
Hello~~~~~~~~~`
Cool, but a question. Which wallpapers in particular are stealing from animewallpapers.com? I'm just asking cause it won't do any good to start e-drama over empty accusations.

Does anyone know an e-mail for DesktopCity.com? I've been looking but have failed to locate one so far. They have one of my Hikaru no Go wallpapers that they obviously stole from here. I would like to tell them to take it down.
They have a bunch of AW.com walls, actually. o_o
How is it stealing when wallpapers are supposed to be shared? If so then every website that offers wallpaper is stealing. For instance, DeviantArt and ZeroChan.
It's stealing in that wallpapers made here are specifically made for the AnimeWallpapers.com. Hosting them elsewhere is considered stealing unless the original artist chooses to host them elsewhere themselves. Many here have deviantART accounts that they also use to host their creations.
I host all my Wallpapers on DeviantART with the AW.Com tag, put in the better PNG format.
(if I could ever upload the jpegs they'd be on AnimeWallpapers.com)
