Half Life 2 And CS Source

who else cant wait for these 2 games to come out (unless you already have them somehow). the preview i saw for half life 2 was incredible but im a little worried about the 20 meter tall thing i saw . but as far as multiplayer goes everyone seems to be talking about Counter Strike Source , if its anything like the other versions of counter strike it is somthing all shooting game fans will be looking forward to.

I cant wait either, but i know nothing of the new CS at all. Im a CS player an i love it so whats new about this CS? Will it need HL2 to run, what new weapons are there and is the Geo-Mod technology used in the game?

Counterstrike Source is really great looking and fun at the same time, really brought the fun back to counterstrike imo.

Besides the extreme hype over these games, it seem to be the single thing that made so many peeps buy now comps all over..

if you download steam you can preorder half life 2 and buy Counterstrike Source in one package. Some of my friends and i from work play it together online.

counter-strike source sucks in my honest opinion. people are too easy to hit and most of the difficulty in the game is taken out. it moves nowhere near as fast as steam 1.6......

...the few things source does have on a good side are flashbangs, graphics, and interacting with the environment.

....shoulda made it look more like condition zero though =/

cs source does have a few problems, but i still think its better then 1.6. and who else thinks the AWP is a baby weapon?

also for something really funny to do, go a CT and get your whole team to buy riot sheilds. we got some great screen shots of a wave of sheilds walking towards the terroist (and in a 10vs10 game the fact that no ct's died kinda shows that its unfair for terroist) but the second time we tried it we where rained on by hand-greandes

I'm a little hesistant on picking up a copy of these games. Half-Life 2 doesn't seem like a bad deal, but I don't know the major changes you can add to Counter-Strike. I suppose some additional multiplayer modes would be pretty awesome(I know there's mods online, but official ones released by Valve wouldn't be too bad). I guess it's time to update my video card!

The AWP is a nob weapon, and i agree with you about it being a baby weapon. Its basically for people who suck!

And about the riot shied thing being unfair, the terrorists have a 7.62mm weapon, and what to the CTs have, only 5.56mm which sucks as its always those damn AK's that kill me most of the time!

AWP is a truly fine weapon, indeed! Anyone with a somewhat decent aim will tear through enemy ranks in seconds. And nothing's more satisfying than listening to the feeble "your s0 l4me" taunts from the victims.

Why WMD? Well is would be better having the original names, i mean they called a Ster AUG a "BullPup", though i may be one of design that not what there called. And well the AK is truly the bestn weapon in the game and you right it should be more expensive

As for the AWP yes you can tear your enemies apart but only rank amatuers use that gun, basically anyone who uses it is a noob!
