One of her lovers was taken away to join a convent which she then joined and then used a dead body to fake their death after burning the place down. Among many other daring events.

Robert Perry, who discovered the North Pole, and Roald Amundsen, who discovered the South Pole, where both pretty cool. Actually, they were freezing!
