Who died the best in anime? (Note: They cannot have been sure they were going to be brought back to life) Who took it the best and went out like a boss? Who made it count and did not whine about it? Who died in the most awesome way possible?

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

Myotismon's death in Digimon: Digital Monsters was great!! He even died again in Season 2 when he was an even worse version of himself!!
My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
Goku when he blew up himself and Cell, although Cell survived and Goku did come back. But everyone comes back in the world of Dragonball Z.
I think I can come up with something better, though. Let me think about it.
That's specifically why i said they could not expect to resurrect. Preferably they have no clues if there is an afterlife let alone that they get in.
In DBZ Piccolo's last death was better anyway. He sacrificed himself and knew he was headed for Hell.
Bulbasaur had a nice one. He lived but only because he learned dig on the spot. He meant to die helping others

How about Madoka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica?Does that count?
SPOILER BELOW!
Have you ever watched Samurai 7? It is based (loosely) on Akira Kurosawa's classic film The Seven Samurai. (Remade in the USA as The Magnificent Seven.) Anyway, five of the seven would die bravely in battle. They had no complaints.
The "best death" that comes to mind, for me, is Wolf's Rain. ;_;
