I am a first gen 18yo Asian-American but the youngest of my family. My hobbies are calisthenics, studying/learning, reading manga/manhwa/manhua, and video games. I have time for each because I stay cooped up in my room and hardly leave.



I love listening to music. I will listen to music as I shower, go to sleep, or even eat. If you recommend me a song, chances of me liking it are pretty high. I listen to varying genres whether it is alt/rock, metal, J/K-Pop, oldies, ballad, night/breakcore, hip-hop, R&B, dubstep, ... you name it. Nightcore is very fun to listen to and I personalize mine. I have no experience in anything music software related except making songs nightcore. My most played artist is Lamp and my top 5 genres would be alt/rock, nightcore, metal, J-Pop, and breakcore.



I enjoy watching anime but never engage in communities. Joining this forum is a way of trying to see and engage in the culture for myself since I am interested. If I had to pick three anime, it would be Kaguya-sama Love is War, Monogatari Series (I have not finished or am far yet), and Akame ga Kill!.

You like J-pop. I have taken a liking to some Japanese rock I have heard. Have you heard Tricot? They're not really what I call pop. Tricot is math rock.

I love J-Rock and that includes Tricot. I actually had no idea what math rock was until now so thank you for that. Tricot are up there for me alongside my favorite J-Rock band/artists like Kinoko Teikoku, JYOCHO, and Tokenai Namae (if she is considered Rock, idk).

I'm glad that math is good for something besides calculating batting averages, on-base percentages, and earned run averages.

I also like the Wagakki Band and the Pillows.

Any anime fan is familiar with the Pillows thanks to FLCL.

The Wagakki Band combines traditional Japanese music with rock. They have been around for a few years, but right now are taking a break as individual members pursue other musical interests. Their lead guitarist is great.

They had Made in Abyss on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim/Toonami, or whatever they call it now. But they never finished the series. They also didn't show the movie. CN/AS/T is like that.
